Tabs Predictions

2014 SC Average: 100

Tabs says: Spent most of his time in the engine room, on the HFF or as a rebounding HB flanker. If Sam Mitchell gets DPP then Macca will as well, but don't hold your breath. He had 10 scores above 100 but only 16 above 90. If you select him its only in the backs. Would I select Macca in any fantasy team, no. His DPP makes him more attractive to fantasy coaches but buyer beware. If you watch him play every time there is a contest he runs behind the play for the easy HB out, so he is a bit of a slut that way. Teams will eventually cotton on to what he does and will try and stifle his easy ball. His uncontested possessions are 2:1 to his contested possessions and his effective disposal is at 75% which is ok, but his scores are always lower when the tag is applied to him. But like all Swans, they don't let the tag worry then as there is someone else to pick up the slack.

Got a gut feeling Mitchell won't get dpp but mcveigh will.
If he is a defender he will probably b my D1/ D2 along with Walker.
Should average around the same as this year hopefully.
105+ again from a defender would b very handy.

I don't spend big money down back

Birchall Simpson Hibberd instead.

Will probably finish with him though.

Ricochet

Yeh starting with value next near, then upgrading others to premo's. An upgrade target for me

He's good value for money in my opinion. Lowest score of 76 and only 6 scores below 90!! Such a consistent scorer and according to Fanfooty stats, he was tagged in 7 of 22 games this year and he produced scores of 125, 98, 94, 98, 91, 77 and 88 in those games which averages to about 95-96. May get a forward tag every now and then but it doesn't generally work and that's why I think it's more effective to tag Malceski as he doesn't handle it as well. Either him or Eski are there main man coming off half back. Those numbers where he was tagged are still better than 90% of other defenders you can pick.

He had 8 games over 120+ and 5 over 130+. Can find space and get out the back so easy and doesn't seem to get picked up which is easy points in SC. Good with the ball in hand and occasionally has stints in the middle where he's helped a lot by Sydney's amazing midfield, and his scores aren't usually hindered.

Will be one of my first picked next year. Only $50k dearer than Hibberd who I don't think will go much more than 95 and Simpson who has a lot of inconsistent games. Other picks around his price are Goddard who won't get DPP and Bartel and Walker who are good picks but I like the uniqueness of Mcveigh.

Doesn't get injured like most defenders which is an absolute bonus. He wont get rested as Sydney don't generally like to do it. Only looks like he's missed 4 games in the regular season since 2006, which is amazing. Only 28 years old.. I could go on.

Absolute gun and LOCK.

You have convinced me out lachy Hansen in McVeigh.

Not sure how I'm going to afford this starting squad.

Haha, I'm the same mate, it's tough! I've gone a little similar, it'd just depend on your other lines on how much you can afford to spend. You are the master of SC on this forum though haha! Are you keeping the rest of your team a secret or going pretty open with it?

I'm going with

Mcveigh, S. D Thompson, Birchall, Suckers
Pendlebury, Selwood, Watson, Beams, Cotchin

Jroo

McVeigh is on my watch list. I'll wait and see who else get DEF status before making a call.
He is expensive, but by looking at his scores this year he's worth it.

Vinny

Before the finals series I wasn't 100% sure but after he destroyed it, was complete lock for me.

At this stage, something like this.

Kade Simpson, Jared McVeigh, Birchall/Hibberd, Matt Suckling.
Selwood, Pendles, Rocky, Ablett/Watson, Beams
Mumford/Sandi Kreuzer
Daisy, Buddy, Pav, Dusty/Motlop.

Thought they were my unique picks, haha.

dusty over motlop.

actually different ruckline.

no kreuz, maybee mummy.

Vinny

Fair enough.

I put Dusty/Motlop because I don't think Dusty will keep DPP.

Kreuzer may not be in my team because Mick might go Warnock/Kreuzer combo and flower up his scoring.

Maybe NicNat Mummy, idk.

Vinny

Although I am not sure Motlop will keep DPP either, hahah.
