Hi guys, so excited for next season, having major footy withdrawals already counting down to draft day. I was just wandering who do people rate as good rooks this year in defence, mid, ruck, fwd. especially in defence.

Not sure where Billings will be but he and Sheed look like they should be playing senior footy?

Sheed, Martin, McDonald in mids, even Jimmy Aish with two years of top footy for Norwood even though he's small!

Hogan and Billings will be in every forward line me thinks!

Crouch will be good cause he is good in a contest but he is extremely slow and far from an athlete, I think expecting Whay Brad did is ridiculous. Brad is a flowering machine, but I am hoping Matt is great too.

That's a solid reason. ;)

Seriously though, I think he might be taken early in the second round which will hopefully drop him at a team that might use him early. Plus he showed the ability to go 90+ in the SANFL seniors as a 17 year old so that is a good sign that he has scoring potential.

Whether he's still in my team in February or March who knows. So much water to go under the bridge.

not debating really but just adding something i have read that Matt's foot speed was better this year and also they use to have heaps of one on battles in the backyard as kids also kinda obvious but Brad is helping Matt be ready for AFL football giving him some tricks etc for example Brad told him he better learn how to swim for the recovery sessions lol as he didn't know how until like a year ago and that's helping his agility also he actually sound a lot like Watson to me ;D the way he plays but better at his age then Watson was
