Its god-damn hard for him to not come across as overrated when he has a quiet half in which his team has just been violated :P

Ronaldo scores more despite being a winger and not a striker and having inferior weapons around him. Scores generally better quality goals too- more long range boomers and finesse hits compared to a lot of tap-ins for Messi.

It was probably even between Ronaldo joining Madrid and 2012/13, but in 13/14 Ronaldo stepped right ahead. 51 goals and 15 assists in 47 vs 41 and 14 in 46. 17 and 5 vs 8 and 0 in the Champions League too...
