Tomorrow's games suck. Still, might wake up to watch Argentina and Messi play.

..... No WC games ever suck.

Compared to other sports they do :3

??? if you truly loved the game, every game in the WC is exciting.

Suppose I don't truly love the game then, because, imo, the standard (entertainment, interest, etc) of the top 1% of top-level futbol games are about the 60% mark of a footy, NFL, college football or MLB match. Not going to go on about diving, corruption, etc, but it's almost always incredibly boring- flowering players just stand around or jog for 89 minutes of a match. Much better of a result sport imo.

Its only as big as it gets because you've been told that since you were 5.

The games aren't all that special, in essence its just matches between different countries. If you don't find regular games overly interesting you won't find the world cup to be too special

Agreed. Love it. I'm at work and still popping me head out to watch a few minutes here and there.

You know how much the WC means to countries like Columbia and Bosnia? Its not because I've been told that. Its because it literally is the best form of this sport. Every game is huge to the group. You cant say that in the CL or a EPL game.

I understand you are prob a cas fan, but to massive fans of the sport, at the end of the world cup we countdown to the next one.

It means a lot to them because that's all they're told to love when they grow up. Soccer has a longer history than than pretty much any other regular sport, doesn't really make it particularly special.

A diehard fan of any sport would love to see their country do well, I don't think its really that different

They arent told to love? This sport is the only chance at making it big in the world and being successful due to the state of their respected countries.

Thats what makes this sport so special, is that kids when they grow up only have a ball as their possession.

For example, C.Ronaldo is from a really poor part of Medira(spelling), and all he and his friends/parents could afford to do was kick a ball around. It connects people in a way that no other sport can. It truly is the worlds game and I know you def don't understand it and I'm not forcing it on you. This is also prob the best world cup since 1998 so I'm super super stoked for it.

From the games people have watched, what has been your favourite so far?

Personally really enjoyed the Mexico v Cameroon game. Mexico's one touch passing was excellent, especially in the conditions.

Andrew3747

Ivory Coast v Japan was fun. Italy v England was vgood tactically aswell.

Yeah I thought these 2 were good as well. I like watching Ivory Coast in general :)

Kellogscrunchynut

Only been able to watch a few games due to exams. But from what i've seen it's far less cagey than the opening round of matches from last world cup.

Nige

Watched the first half of Argentina vs B&H, but I missed the first goal (the own goal) because it took me 5 mins to get out of bed and the the other two goals came in the second half.  >:( :(
