Dudge

Just finally read this debate, and seriously who can say. Messi on his day is the best. Ronaldo on his day is the best, but on his day Chad the boss is the greatest. Sorry guys, just trying to lighten the mood. If I was forced to pick one on a school oval at lunch time, I would take......................... oh $hit, teas ready

Vinny

I think Chris Judd is easily the better soccer player of the three.

He may have had a "better" calender year, but so did Sneijder in 2010 and Ribery had a better year than Messi as well this year. It doesn't make them "better players". For instance, Mata hasn't had a good year, yet he is better than Hazard for the time being.
That's what I was trying to say. Personally though I don't have a stance on the debate due to not getting to watch many La Liga games, only 5-6 a year.

Also, Mata still better than Hazard? Incredibly debatable.

Not even debatable, even if Mata had started every match! Incredibly stupid to try dismiss Eden ;)

I suppose we'll see over the second half of the season Teabs!

Andrew3737

Hazard is too inconsistent. He had an awful start to the season. He fades out of games too easily. When his on top of his game he is as good, if not better. However, Mata's influence on games is always there. When Chelsea struggle, Hazard struggles, which isn't a good sign. Hazard needs to have the ball at his feet, like a Ribery. Hazard has a much higher ceiling though.

Mata wasn't exactly setting the world on fire early either though and Hazard is three years younger ;)

Andrew3737

My exact point. Mata has proved it 2 years in a row just how good he is. Hazard has yet to do that. Under Mourinho we have see how he doesn't like to run the play through a 10. He loves his midfield dominance and wide attacking play. The 10 is just there to support the other 2 and press. Mata needs to be on the ball. He struggled because of this.

Yes? Thats his only downfall as a player.... He is young, which is understandable as player to be inconsistent. You have to be a freak like Messi or Ronaldo to not be inconsistent @ 22.

tbagrocks

No doubt he was poor in the past, been just brilliant this season, as has Oscar who you better not call inconsistent!

Nah I can't make a case for Hazard playing poorly at all, sorry mate. Must be watching a different Chelsea
