ref had a shocker. Every time a player went down he would give a foul but never gave a card. A few things were worse than just a foul, but so many were not fouls at all that he was giving (mainly in favour of Brazil but there were calls both ways)

The keeper should've picked up a red too imo.

Most of the fouls weren't too malicious in my opinion, and the touch the player had before Cesar fouled him wouldn't have allowed him a shot on goal; so I don't think it would have warranted a red card.

One problem with reffing these days is if you don't call fouls tackling gets more intense, and if you do the diving element really sets in.

That graceful arch of the back when showing the yellow card is priceless.

The hand movements when dismissing that coaches protests are wonderful.

The backwards running would get him a boundary umpire job every day of the week.
