Elxam Award Ideas

Here is the current list of awards that we'll most likely be running for the Elxam Awards (most are same from 2011):

- Rising Star (best newbie)
- The Town Drunk
- Best Picture/Gif
- The Tumbleweed Award (gone missing from the forum)
- Best Username
- The Trevor Marmalade Award (funniest user overall)
- Funniest comment
- Hot and Cold Award (Most inconsistent (50/50) poster)
- Most Improved
- The Barry Hall Award (person you would like to punch the most. Could be called Brent Staker award)
- Jimmy Bartel Award (most junk poster)
- Dustin Fletcher Award (who is always here)
- Most Biased
- Most Positive
- Most Annoying
- Softest member
- Best thread
- Most controversial
- Quiet achiever
- Most inspirational
- Biggest Spud (HP - Considering removing this because if last year is any indictaion, people going to take it the wrong way and going to end in abuse and attacks).
- Sexiest coach
- Most reliable
- The Gandalf Award (wisest)
- Most dominant fantasy poster
- The Master Debator (person who argues/debates with people the most)

Added awards:
- Worst Call (Stephen McBurney Award?)
- Best person to trade with (makes an effort)
- Worst person to trade with
- Best trader (best results)
- The Hird Award (most in denial of fantasy reality. not sure how to word this one to make it relevant...)
- The Carro Award (longest continuous waffle in a thread or threads)
- Best Trade
- Off Season Specialist (most active and helpful during off season. so doing player profiles, giving advice on next years teams, etc.)
- Best Team Man (most passionate about their team)
- The Mona Lisa Award (best DP)
- The Owl Award (only seems to post at night)
- The Front Bar King (only seems to post in the front bar)
- The Hayes-Black Award (most liked user)
- SC Henchman (most helpful in P&T and RMSC sections. name undecided still)
- DT Henchman (most helpful in P&T and RMDT sections. name undecided still)
- Best Nickname


Suggest any ideas you may have, and they'll probably be added :)

Also, these names are not permanent. If you have any suggestions for the names of any awards, feel free say so. Would make it a lot more fun :D

Barry Hall was the puncher, arent you after the punchee like Stalker or Crowley, Ballatyne

There is no way someone would like to punch Barry Hall as you would know what comes back

I was actually thinking this, but it was called the Barry Hall one when it was done in 2011, so I kept it the same. Can change it if people prefer Staker instead of Hall

Since most of the people voting will be part of one the XV Comps

Best person to trade with - who makes an effort to get a win/win

Worst Trader to deal with - who always trys to squeeze you a little more

Best Trader - who gets the best results

The "Carro" award...for the longest continuous waffle in a variety of threads

The "Hutchy" award....for the longest continued most limp handed agreement with the Carro award winner

The "Eddie" award ....best protection of their own thread, including beating away intruders on their space

I've only just gotten into the XV comps, but would that be really really hard to do? Because there would be a lot of trades to go through I would imagine.

I like the Hird and Carro ones :P


And regarding it being a popularity contest, if you get involved with the forum (or on chat) more, then people know you a lot better, and therefore know what award category you would (and wouldn't) come under. Also, chat has 10 or so regulars from when I've been on, so if the majority of users on the forum participate, chat peeps shouldn't make much of a difference.

Perhaps coaches/assistants can nominate trades? Surely there are some memorable ones...
