Nige says: This guy can play. There's no doubting that. Dale Thomas, formerly of the Collingwood Magpies and now of the Carlton Blues has swapped the #13 for #39 and the black and white for the navy blue. To quote Al Paton of Superfooty - "Will Daisy's ankle hold up? That's the question Carlton fans and SuperCoaches will be asking heading into next season. Thomas will be available at a huge discount after playing just five injury-affected games in 2013 - although he showed what he can do with a 150 against the Saints." 'Daisy', as he's known by many, is certainly a viable option for your fantasy team in 2014 - if his ankle holds up. The Blues are confident that he'll be ready to go come their Round 1 clash with Port Adelaide. Thomas had M/F DPP eligibility, and if he keeps it, that's really just another reason to pick him. Expect Daisy to bounce back after missing out on a fair chunk of 2013 and get right into the thick of it and produce very solid scores week in, week out. If he gets a full season and isn't hampered by injury, he should deliver an average of mid 90s or better.

Predicted 2014 average: 95-105

Locked in, provided he is fit and ready to go come round 1.

Vinny

Yeah as long as his fit round 1 and if he ain't I will be very frustrated. We aren't paying him for nothing! :P

Nice work Nige.

I like how the guy giving English advice is the same fella who continuously said "his" instead of "he's".  ;D

Arent people worried that Malthouses annoying habit of using most of his midfielders as negators or part-negators will affect Thomas too?

Vinny

Well Malthouse was the one that coached Daisy for the most part at Collingwood and more importantly during the time where he proved he was a good scorer so I don't think so Koop :)

specky92

He's expected to take part in the blues Arizona camp so should be fit and firing round 1, lock for me as well

Daisy doesn't have a defensive bone in his body lol. He won't be negating anyone

Daisy was #13 at the Pies... Now he's #39 at the Blues.

And 13x3=39.

IMO this means he'll be three times the player he was at the Pies. Prepare for an average of 210-220 8)

Generally better players have lower numbers so 39 / 3 = 13

Therefore he will be 1/3 the player he used to be.
