Ricochet

Ben Reid has had a decent setback. Hurt his good calf which will push him back 4-6 weeks

He is worse than Higgins!

Collingwood need a fit Reid, to compete next year.

Mailman the 2nd

And people laughed at me saying there was no way reid could fit a proper season next year

What's your guys thoughts on the rookies breaking through to the best 22?
Is it only Freeman who looks good for consistent games?
Surely Moore and De Goey among others will be right up there?

I think this is pretty close, but Jarryd Blair and Sam Dwyer make the team I think.

Missing Goldsack too, we would never play with such little height depth in the backline. My personal favourite omission is macaffer, who albeit currently injured, is still pushing for an early spot and will play as our tagger.

To summarise...
OUT; JT, Freeman, Armstrong, Broomhead
In: Caff, Goldy, Dwyer, Blair

Fasolo and sinclair unlucky.

Rookie will play some games to give them a run for sure. Freeman will get given an early chance to play, I almost guarantee it. But I don't see him getting consistent games unless he pulls a few tricks out of his hat because he's well behind in the pecking order at the moment (although his NAB may see him push ahead of a few)

I cannot see Moore getting a game this year at all, De Goey will be given a game or two but think about Ben Kennedy, Broomhead etc who also will steal a few games this year and there's only so many spots

fasttrack13

Toovey Brown Keefe (Reid if fit)
Williams Frost Langdon
Sidebottom Swan Adams
Thomas White Dwyer
Witts Cloke Elliot
Grundy Pendlebury Greenwood
Varcoe Goldsack Macaffer
Seedsman

Unlucky: Sinclair, Fasolo, De Goey, Kennedy, Crisp, Broomhead, Blair, Young

We saw Langdon favoured over Seedsman. Won't play both pseed and Langdon as we then lack defensive power.
Need 3 taller defenders against any team. Frost is a must as he is quick and strong.
Dwyer was in when he didn't have injury niggles. Kennedy/Broomhead/Fasolo could be there.
White is in 22 he compliments Cloke well they just need to learn how to work together.
Goldsack is important to us.

I think depending on the team and condtitons. 1 tall comes out of the defence and Goldsack goes down back bringing Sinclair or an attacking option in DeGoey who's big and can mark to do Gsack fwd role

Toga

Kennedy's gotta start getting a look soon! Kid's a gun!

Grundy is not Best 22 at this stage, finished last in the time trial the other day (Scharenberg even beat him), he's sloppy below his feet and really needs to refine his skills which are poor.. I really do not like Blair in the team either as we have way too many medium/smalls and would love BenKen to steal that role from him (although Bucks loves Blair) - Reid down back makes us long so much stronger across the park, and Frost is a must have.
Langdon and Seedsman are a must in our Best 21 in my eyes, allows Reid to play that swing role if need be and gives us the option of more run and power across half back - could even see Seeds playing loose across half back.
Jessie White has to be in our best team also, as he can share the ruck load much like Leigh Brown did in our premiership year, and gives us the option of playing the SACK down forward who gives us so much grunt and pressure, it's unreal.

DeGoey/Freeman/Broomhead/Crisp/Armstrong/Keefe/Karnezis will all get bulk game time this year, and I would love to see them all used early. Young/Fasolo/Sinclair etc are hopefully there for depth, lack too much on field and make mistakes under pressure (although Fas is quite clean, just had a terrible time with injuries).
