Plenty of other boards have started this topic so I thought I'd start it for our boys.
Was a tough process picking our best 22 at the moment with our list but hopefully I have it about right.

Chuck in suggestions, your thoughts and teams, whatever.

B: Toovey, Brown, Maxwell
HB: Seedsman, Reid, O'Brien
C: Young, Ball, Sidebottom
HF: Beams, White, Elliot
F: Blair, Cloke, Goldsack
R: Grundy, Pendlebury, Swan

Int: Macaffer, Adams, Keefe sub: Williams

Emg: K Martin, Fasolo, Karnezis, Lynch, J Thomas

Tough to miss out: Sinclair, Kennedy, Dwyer, Witts, Frost, Mooney, Oxley

Anyone I missed?

Who will give Grundy a chop out in the ruck?

I really can't answer that mate, Collingwood have said Grundy will be #1 ruck and that he will shoulder the workload, and I don't see Lynch in our best 22 so it'd be stupid to put him in. Maybe White as he's 197cm can chop him out? Play that Leigh Brown role of 2010 with Goldsack as the third tall meaning Ben Reid can play in his best position and the best place for our team instead of him being second tall with Cloke like this year.

Only way I can see mate! White looks good at ground level so could do a Roughy until Witts develops properly.

Fair enough man. Will be interesting to see what they do

Fasolo isn't anywhere  :o

I was thinking about him the whole time and forgot him in the end! Hahah, thanks mate!

Ricochet

How far outside the best 22 is Jack Frost? Played earlier in the year but did his PCL i think?

Nige

What annoys me is that a lot of the Collingwood best 22 is like middle-aged/youngish and they have some genuinely good depth that can't even make the emergencies (Kennedy, Dwyer) who would be a walk up start to some best 22s.

It annoys me a lot that a guy like Sam Dwyer has/had been waiting so long for a shot at the big time, plays one season and might not get too many more games.

Ricochet

It'd be the same at any other top team though. If he's good enough he will make it. Pies depth isn't much different to most the top 8-10. Look at Freo, Pies, Swans, Geelong, Hawks, etc. Depth plays a major part in making an average team into a good team.

Nige

Yeah, I know that. There's not much to be done really. He does well enough, he makes the team... I guess I dislike seeing it happen at some teams more than others.  :P

Vinny

Kyle Martin is a perfect example of this.

Kyle Martin is a gun, should break into the team if he has even half the year he did from last year. Really hope we keep him on for another 10-15 years because it'd be amazing seeing him dominate in another few years.

Vinny

Yeah no doubt man! That would be good as, so much talent. But your crazy midfield doesn't help your midfield youth, haha.
