Heath Shaw - Greater Western Sydney

Requested by GoLions16

Name: Heath Shaw
Age: 27 years, 11 months
Team: Greater Western Sydney
Position: Defender
Bye: Round 9

2013 Low: 37
2013 High: 147
2013 Average: 96.89
2013 Pre-Bye Average: 107
2013 Post-Bye Average: 87.7
2013 Average in a losing team: 80.7

Fanplanner Price: $518,400

Predicted average: 75

Verdict: He hasn't played over 19 H&A games since 2007 so if you do decide to start him, you have to accept he's probably going to get suspended and/or injured and miss 1-4 games. As for actual scoring I think he'll struggle at GWS, out of Collingwood's 8 losses this year, Heath played in 7 of them and reaching the ton just once. Shouldn't win too many games at GWS so I expect his scoring to take a hit.

Nice work Speck, I won't be starting him next year, I traded him in, at round 14 this year and it was a rollercoaster ride.

Not sure which way he will go but I think 75 is a bit low. I would think 85 at the very lowest. He's a gun

yeah, it felt a bit rough but he hasn't gone 100+ since 2007 so I probably would of gone with 90-95 had he stayed and he doesn't score well when collingwood lose and they never really lose like GWS lose in terms of margins, just think it's not his year.

He scored 100+ in 2011 and 2012

75? 75?! You're mad Speck  :P
haha, I've gone a bit riskier in the average compared to my other profiles but we'll see, :P

Really have no idea what's gonna happen with Shaw. Cheers for doing the profile speck. At this point I'm not going to start him, but who knows what'll happen between now and RD1. Could have an amazing year, or could do shower all.

Broughton got traded from a team where he didn't have a role to a team where he still didn't have a cemented role
Shaw is one of the best rebounding defenders in the comp, moving to a team crying out for them
Not sure which way Shaw will go but cannot see him doing a Broughton.

before Lyon and GC he averaged 90+

i expect Shaw's role to be more defensive but even if he still has an attacking role will get tagged every week

Vinny

He could either kill it and go 100+ or drop to an early 80s perhaps. Too tough to call which is why he is far too risky to start but could become an upgrade target.

Before Lyon he had a midfield rotation though. They're different cases.
Anyway doesn't matter, Shaw is a bit too risky for me

I will start him... :)
Plus 1 mate. U have to take risks and he is a calculated 1. Surely he won't get tagged any more than he did at the Pies where he has been a solid SC scorer for years. The only thing that lets him down is suspensions but always finishes the season with a top defenders average.
