I got bored/procrastinatey so decided to do a Ladder Predictor and update my preseason predictions.

Based on draw and current form, this is my final ladder now:

1. Hawthorn (72 pts)
2. Port (72)
3. Geelong (72)
4. Fremantle (68)
5. Sydney (68)
6. Gold Coast (68)
7. North (64)
8. Collingwood (60)

9. Essendon (44)
10. Richmond (36)
11. West Coast (32)
12. Adelaide (32)
13. Carlton (28)
14. Bulldogs (28)
15. Melbourne (20)
16. St Kilda (12)
17. Brisbane (8)
18. GWS (8)

Things to note: I haven't taken % into account much (except most teams smashing GWS) so equal points could change order. Amazingly, the top 8 teams look way way way above the rest (Pies 4 games clear of Bombers) so even a mistake or two won't cost them finals. Carlton's draw is absolutely flowered (poor Blues) but nothing else seems to stand out.

Interesting but I doubt you will need 15 wins to make the 8

It's not so much a need... More that other teams just aren't competitive enough that all these teams could easily get 15 wins. Obviously, upsets will happen (this was without any big upsets) but 12 wins is enough to be better than 9th in this scenario. 13 wins enough to secure the 8, assuming you give up one of your wins to Essendon.

so you have picked port to win 10 of 13  and Hawks to go 12 out of 13 - who are the losses?

GoLions

Being a bit harsh on Brisbane there Huggy :P

Blues at Gabba
Dogs at Etihad
Giants at Gabba
Roos at Gabba
Eagles at Gabba
Suns at Gabba
Dees at Etihad
Crows at Gabba

All of those IMO are winnable games, and I'd expect us to win at least 3

GoLions

FTR I had the exact same top 8, but in a slightly different order. And then I had Bombers a bit lower, Lions a bit higher. Rest was the same pretty much.

I only see Brisbane winning one, maybe two of those games.

Besides the GWS game and maybe the Dees, Brisbane wont start fav in any of these.

Will need to play well to get 3 games..

Mat0369

The way Melbourne have been going they win that in Melbourne. Etihad is the issue in that game since their record is very poor at that ground. Depending which Crows team shows up and they match up well with the Eagles otherwise GWS is the only one I saw as winnable.

Port lose to - Sydney @ SCG, Freo @Subi, and either Pies @ MCG or GC @ Metricon (I think Pies but can't remember)

Haw lost to either Freo @ Subi or Cats @ MCG (think I said Freo)
