Timing good? It could be worse... but honestly why now? Saints have played football in 2 months! They've wasted 2 months of planning with a new coach, and that's a huge difference.

Get your act together!

Exactly Os. November was probably the worst time to do it. Stuff like this shouldn't be happening at this stage of the year.

guessing here...but Watters was told there were things he had to address in his review. One of them I am now guessing was how he interacts with the board members and does what he is instructed to do
Queue his unauthorised media apperance.

Yeah, I guess. To think they waited and missed out on Simpson, Burns etc...

This decision wouldn't have come just from the last couple of days, it would be months in the making. They would have a succession plan, and would have had it for a while so they wouldn't have missed out on anyone

Yeah, I knew it was coming, the murmurs before the trade period were rife. I just thought that they would have wanted somebody like Simpson or Burns who have been praised and waiting for a senior coaching gig.

Yeh obviously didn't think they were good enough or have someone else lined up.

I'm stunned. From the outside, he seemed tough, but fair, which is exactly what any coach needs to be, particularly a club in need of lifting their performance. Weeks ago, it would've made sense. Not now.

Still, at least you are not Melbourne, Saints.

Ricochet

Choco would be huge for Saints. Premiership coach who's great at developing kids

Jroo

St.Kilda better not touch Choco  >:(
