My Chumps

Hanley + Pavlich vs Martin + Birchall

Tough call. I honestly think Martin won't be a forward next year if that makes your decision any easier. Really not sure about Pavlich though, I'd have to see how he goes pre season.

Get an extra 90k with Hanley/Pav as well...

Will definitely be easier if Martin doesn't get FWD eligibility

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)
How about team 1  and changing Jobe to Gazza ?
I know we need money over to deal with the final price differences, but I'm gonna deal with it when it occurs. Cheers and all the best.   ;)

I see Jobe being a top 5 midfielder next year. There's a chance I'll end up switching one of my defenders for Waters (if he's 100% fit), and swapping one of Sloane/Fyfe/Cotchin to Ablett.
Cheers

Defence looks solid, love Scotty Thompson and The Cannon, very unique picks
Mids look fantastic, Sloane as a POD looks decent, don't think he'll be a top 8 mid however, but he could break out and go 110+
Rucks are standard, no problems though
Forwards look good, as I said on Vin's post, Higgins is a liability, you'd have to monitor him over preseason to make sure he is ready and right to go, would chuck Karnezis in there as a replacement if Higgins goes pear shaped. Liking Pav and Gunston, two very good picks.

Overall mate, you've done a good job, not sure if this is your latest team or not, was posted a little while ago, but it looks good anyway.

Few little things I'd change up but other than that well done. Good luck for 2014 mate, you'll do well!

GoLions

Cheers wato

Yeah, think the cannon can go a lot better next year with a full pre-season
I think Sloane could go big, and he's really unique. Not 100% going to start him though, but I really really want to :P
If there is any doubt at all with higgins in the pre-season, he is out. i'm hoping he lasts until his bye, has made some good cash, and i can offload him to a premo. There's no doubt about his scoring ability

Thanks for the feedback :)

Vinny

Wato has pretty much said it all mate, really like the pick of Sloane as I have said before, generally does not get a tag and never will be a regular target as long as Dangerfield is around so could go nuts next year, he finished the year extremely well too. One thing I would change is Fyfe > Selwood, Selwood will be the first or second best in the competition next year.

Forward line and defence look very good, nice work there. As for the rucks, I don't like Leuy as a pick because of West probably playing. Wouldn't go near any rucks that play in a team where the two ruck strategy will be used, it kills their scoring ability.

Nice work mate!

GoLions

Yeah, Fyfe-->Selwood sounds good. Will see when final prices and everything is announced
Leuey will kick goals up forward, he's a great ruckman, and he gets possessions around the ground. Granted, I am probably quite bias, but I see him going top 3 in the ruck department. Only person I would drop him for is probably Goldy, but there are doubts over whether he'll go the entire year without a break, or the probably more likely option of Daw/Currie playing alongside him.

Vinny

Fair enough mate, yeah that worries me about Goldy but I think there is more risk with Leuy than Goldy. Lucky Ive got my bias under control for SC otherwise Gibbs, Murphy, Walker, Simpson, Docherty & Judd would be in my team.

Made a few changes yet again, been very busy procrastinating uni assignments  ;D

TEAM NAME: Dave's Legends
DEF: J. McVeigh, S. Thompson, T. McKenzie, M. Suckling, B. Waters, S. Edwards (K. Aylett, F. Roberts)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Watson, R. Sloane, T. Rockliff, D. Beams, L. Dunstan, C. Beams, M. Crouch (A. Morabito, J. Martin)
RUC: M. Leuenberger, T. Goldstein (D. Currie, L. McBean)
FWD: A. Fasolo, N. Naitanui, D. Martin, D. Thomas, M. Pavlich, S. Higgins (V. Michie, J. Hogan)
CASH LEFT: $38,500

If 100% fit, Waters is locked. Any doubt and he's gone.
Think Watson is underpriced and will go top 8 mids. Expect Rocky, Pendles, Beams all to go top 10. Sloane I think can definitely go top 15 (possibly higher) and is worth the risk.
Gone for set and forget rucks this time
Dusty may lose DPP, and will possibly drop for Karnezis if he does, and will use cash to bring in another defender

Tear it to shreds ladies

Note: IDGAF about rookies

Vinny

It looks really good mate.

I know you said you don't give a flower about rookies but you only have 38k left. With not many good rookie options for example in defence. You will probably be forced to pick players like KK and McDonald who will cost like 40k more than the average rookie so that's why I think there is no way you can afford this. Take the rookies into account slightly, haha.

But yeah, like I said. Other than that, it looks very solid. Maybe downgrade Edwards or something. Plus when the real prices come out, I have a good feeling you will only be able to start one of Higgins or Fasolo.

GoLions

Yeah, I'm happy to drop a forward to a rookie or something to make everything affordable, likely NicNat or Dusty if one loses FWD eligibility. My rookie choices will 99% be based on who is named round 1 :P

Cheers Vinnamon

Nice team...looks well balanced/lots of depth. Understand your choice of Sloane and comes down to $ as well but I'd prefer another top range mid (Selwood) and find the coin by downgrading a discounted type (Waters  would be logical choice if injured to a rookie) and use extra cash to upgrade elsewhere too.

I'm really hoping Rocky can be picked in the forward line, because then I'd probably do a downgrade somewhere, put Rocky forward, and bring Selwood into mids.
I really think Sloane can take it to another level next year, he was one of my first 5 picked when I did my first fanplanner team, and has not left my side since. And until the last few days, no-one else had him which meant he was looking like a nice POD.

Cheers for the advice. Think my team will change a fair bit once prices and DPP are finalised, haha :P
