Put this together in a few minutes yesterday, and thought I'd get you guys to point out players I have blatantly missed :P

TEAM NAME: Dave's Legends
DEF: P. Hanley, G. Birchall, B. Waters, M. Suckling, M. Scharenberg, S. Edwards (K. Aylett, F. Roberts)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Watson, R. Sloane, T. Cotchin, D. Beams, M. Murphy, C. Beams, M. Crouch (A. Morabito, X. Ellis)
RUC: M. Leuenberger, A. Sandilands (D. Currie, L. McBean)
FWD: T. Rockliff, N. Naitanui, P. Chapman, D. Thomas, V. Michie, S. Higgins (P. Karnezis, J. Hogan)
CASH LEFT: $323,900

At this stage, I will not be starting with Ablett, because I don't even know why, haha. Will probably change my mind a hundred times about this though between now and Round 1.

Have not researched rookies in the slightest, so I don't really care who is there at the moment, as who I end up starting will be largely dependent on who gets named at the start of next year.

Players such as Waters, Higgins, Sandilands etc I am assuming will be fit and ready to go come round 1, if there's any doubt about them at all, they're gone.

Also, if Sam Mitchell becomes Def/Mid, he swaps with Birchall. Plenty of cash left for DPP changes so that I can adjust wherever necessary.

Nige

Can't find too many faults with it at all tbh... not sure about NicNat and Chappy, but that's about it.

GoLions

Yeah, if they're not 100% fit, then I have the cash available to turn them into whoever I want  :)

GoLions

Made 2 changes;
Birchall-->McVeigh
Chappy-->Pavlich

$224,700 left still

Must have Ablett
Just posted this on another team:

Regarding GAJ, the players you have mentioned didn't move to a new club full of younger kids. All these younger players should be improving their average, and with the limit on SC ppg (~3300), the points have to be lossed somewhere. Ablett's impact on the game is likely to be reduced, as other team mates will be having more of an impact. They'll also be getting more of the ball as well.

I still expect GAJ to go top 3-5 mids, but for the first time since I started playing, I feel as though he's not worth the price tag.

Use the cash to have Ablett! Otherwise awesome team. 6 mids without compromising other lines too much. I would look elsewhere than Waters he just gets injured all the time (or suspended).

Like Watson in there and Sloane - he could go off this season. If u changed Waters to Hibberd/Shaw/Bartel/Walker and Murphy to GAJ I would give it 9.5 / 10

If there is any doubt at all with Waters' fitness round 1, he is 100% gone, and will not be entering my team for the entire year, haha.
Depending on final prices, I could end up caving and go Murphy to Ablett :P
Surprised at how few people have Watson in their teams. As long as nothing happens with ASADA penalties or whatever, I think he should go top 5 mids. Love Sloane, one of my favourite non-brisbane players, and think he'll lift even more this year.

Cheers

With a bit of tinkering, I got to this:

TEAM NAME: Dave's Legends
DEF: P. Hanley, J. McVeigh, T. McKenzie, M. Suckling, M. Scharenberg, S. Edwards (K. Aylett, F. Roberts)
MID: S. Pendlebury, J. Watson, R. Sloane, T. Cotchin, D. Beams, G. Ablett jnr, C. Beams, M. Crouch (A. Morabito, X. Ellis)
RUC: M. Leuenberger, A. Sandilands (D. Currie, L. McBean)
FWD: T. Rockliff, P. Chapman, M. Pavlich, D. Thomas, V. Michie, S. Higgins (P. Karnezis, J. Hogan)
CASH LEFT: $15,300

However, I am 200% sure that I won't be able to afford this team  :P

Vinny

Awesome! I actually reckon its really good, but you may have to downgrade Karnezis & Higgins to rookies to afford it.

it's good but i think Pav and Chappy would be a bit risky with injuries etc then you have Thomas also

Karnezis is rookie priced, isn't he  ???

Yeah, I had to pick them in order to fit in Ablett and McKenzie. If I went Ablett to Murphy and McKenizie to Waters (if 100% fit), then I'd upgrade both of those guys to maybe Martin and NicNat or something.

kilbluff1985

starting Chappy seems like a good idea but i think he might be seen wearing a vest a bit that has put me off him

If Higgins is fit, I think he could be a good pick. Make some cash, then offload him during the byes :)

It's extremely likely I'll make cash by offloading Ablett to Murphy or a rookie, and using the cash to afford this team, and upgrade where necessary.
