Scored 2096, flowering terrible. Decided not to get Fas which was stupid, cost me around 90 points. Was going to sub Crouch on for Ellis but didn't go through with it as I wasn't sure if Crouch would start as sub or not, whereas I knew Ellis wasn't starting sub. That was another 100 points. Gave Pendles the C as he usually destroys North (had Rocky VC), lost 30 points there. So could've easily scored 2300+ :-\

we've all made slight mistakes. but you still got almost 2100. which is solid.

Trades this week are Ellis to Lloyd via Taylor DPP, and Tyson to Robertson. Will get Cutler in for Langdon (or other, depending on how my defence rookies go this week) next week. After doing these trades I will have around 700k to play with. Looking at grabbing Jelwood after his bye, and getting another premium defender. Also Watson after he bottoms out. Dunstan, Lmac, Polec, Suckling all possible candidates to go for these premos.

yeah, thinking the same thing.
DG langdon/langford to cutler next week too.

Check out my team
any advice or suggestions appreciated.

Vinny

Those trades look awesome. ;)

And I thought it couldn't get any worse after last week ::)

GoLions

Been incredibly busy this week, planning on downgrading Lmac to Cutler, and either downgrading Ellis to Hallahan or upgrading him to probably Watson. Thoughts?

GoLions

Went alright considering some of the players I had (in particular Mitchell). Scored 2316 for the round. Much better than the last 2 weeks ::)
Weekly rank: 10,259
Overall rank: 16,040

Current team:

21 trades left, 530.9k remaining

Unsure on trades for this week. Mitchell has to go, thinking McVeigh is the best person to bring in. If Langford is out, he'll go too. Hampson goes this week or next.
Not sure on which rookies are the best options. I'll probably be making 2 downgrades during the byes, want to get them right. Hallahan is still relatively cheap, but not sure if he'll score well enough to make decent cash. Was originally set on O'Rourke but doesn't look like he has very good scoring potential atm. Acres could be an option, as could Hartung. Probably forgetting others.
So is it worth jumping on one of Hallahan/O'Rourke this week? Or waiting a week or 2 for guys like Acres/Hartung? Or even grabbing one of them this week even though they're not on the bubble.
Premiums I want to bring in are;
DEF - McVeigh, Hibberd, Hurn, Swallow
MID - Jelwood, and 2 of Sloane/Steven/Ward/Barlow/Fyfe
RUCK - 1 of Sauce, Big Will, Goldy
FWD - At least 1 of Zorko, Parker, Nroo (I may trade JJK to another one of these guys in a few weeks)

The plan is to bring in 2-3 defenders, a ruck, a forward, and a mid (or 2) during the bye period.
Players I will look to trade are; Mitchell, Suckling, Langford, Taylor, Hampson, Impey

So any advice regarding exactly what to do this week? Sorry for the massively long post haha :P

Vinny

Haha long read there.

SMitchell to McVeigh
Crouch to Acres

Then hopefully your Impey sub 10 score doesn't make your best 18 haha. You could even use another trade to turn Impey to a premium.

Leaves you a shower load of cash to go Langford, KK and whoever to premiums.

GoLions

Yeah was kinda thinking of offloading Crouch, but b/e is still only 34 :-\

I'm starting to think I might just keep Impey all year, as it just doesn't seem worth using 300k+ on upgrading him.
Langford will go next week now that Hawks have said he'll be back this week. KK will stay until his b/e gets too high, might be able to straight swap him for someone like Hurn :D

Cheers vinnamon :)

Ringo

Just remember if Crouch says gets 80 his price will not rise much so that is one of the reasons I am going Crouch to Hallahan this week if Hallahan named as he has a negative B/e and will make more cash than Crouch.
What is your intentions with Georgiou keeping him as well?

How about Mitchell out - Hanley to defence - 5 defenders play this week.

LMc can go after his bye with his high BE and become ? Swallow? (Gives you 5 def playing round 9)

Hole in mids left by Hanley -> get best mid you can. 6 mids play if Dunstan plays. Ellis?? assume he is out, otherwise trade as will lose money I think.

Dump Rohan and move Taylor forward - grab Acres or Hallahan - check round 9 bye numbers to help decide.

Aim to get Jelwood in 2 - 3 weeks' time -> GAJ, Pendles, Beams, Rocky, this week's gun (Joey???), Jelwood and 2 spots left.

After this week get Jacobs or Goldy once Hampson tops out and one of them bottoms out.

All good.  ;)

Hmmm true Ringo, but I do like the points Crouch has been giving me haha. Whoever I trade him to will likely be a starter for a number of weeks. Keeping Georgiou for now, although could potentially upgrade him this week if I want to Hibberd

I think you're viewing a much older version of my team doc? I no longer have Lmac, Dunstan, Ellis, or Rohan :P

Well there's 12 1/2 minutes of my life I'll never get back.  >:(

Hey GL

Mitchell to McVeigh is a great option so consider that sold.

I would wait a week and see what Acres churns out this week before going Crouch to Acres - makes no difference to profits so unless you're planning 3 trades for next week then wait...  I just typed out a bunch on leaving Crouch in but to be honest I haven't sold myself on the idea! It works in my team to hold him but with all your lions in the mids and not a lot of stored value in rookies you may have to make some tough calls. I feel like the more valuable rookies should be culled first simply because they have the stored cash (KKolo and Langdon) but their BE is better than Crouch so I just don't know... Keep in mind though that Langdon has had a couple of big scores which are inflating his average, whereas Crouch had the first game which is dragging his down - in terms of points scored on the field I would rather Crouch than Langdon. So in terms of ceiling yes Langdon has pulled out the big efforts but is averaging 65 without them, whereas Crouch is averaging 80 without his 45 game... I feel like maybe Langdon out, Hanley to def and a mid in might be a good idea, but like I say not too sure...

Ok so with Ambrose in I've decided that Impey can flower right off, even if it only nets me like 70k. Trades for this week are;

Smitch-->McVeigh
Crouch-->Fyfe
Impey-->Ambrose

This leaves me with 244k, so next week will look at trading;
Langford-->Swallow
Taylor-->Acres
Polec-->Jelwood

Should have around 20k after this I think

And the week after that;
Robbo-->Hartung/other rookie
KK-->Hurn
Hampson-->Goldy

Leaving me with about 50k or thereabouts, 12 trades, and 3 upgrades remaining (1 DEF, 1 MID, 1 FWD)

Team will be;
DEF: McVeigh, Simpson, Hanley, Swallow, Hurn, Suckling (Cutler, Georgiou)
MID: Ablett, Pendles, Rocky, Beams, Jelwood, Fyfe, Watson, Acres (Hartung, Langdon)
RUCK: Goldy, Sandi (Currie, King)
FWD: Danger, Dusty, Gunston, Roughy, JJK, Lloyd (JKH, Ambrose)
