Very minor changes. 7.1k left. If there is a cheaper rookie named round 1 (such as Robertson or Crouch) I'll drop one of the more expensive guys and upgrade Gunston to JJK.

All rookie selections (in particular fwd and def) are 100% dependent on whether those players are named round 1 or not.

Def: Very nice mate. Good variety of players here. With Suckling at D5 it is very strong. Near perfect defence. Not sure if Clurey will play. Just watch for Langdon, Langford etc..

Mids: Once again, very good. I like the 4 prem strategy. I think there are rookies good enough to make you a load of cash to upgrade later on. Rocky is a gun and should go 115+. Obviously you make the choice between Watson, Rocky and those guys in that price range.

Rucks: I'm not too sure about Berger. Lot of people think he will kill it this year. Will definently be top 5 ruck though! Sandilands is a lock.

Fwds: Definently your weakest line but not too bad. I had JJK at one stage but not anymore. I think Buddy is a lock though so try get him for Gunston. Impey won't play but look at McCarthy from Geelong.

Very well done overall. Good Luck

#107
A number of people seem to be doing these, so thought I would as well. This is the team I started with;

Went for the "guns-n-rookies" strategy, with my only mid-pricers being Suckers and Sandipants. Scored 2174 in round 1.
I have 62k left, won't be doing any trades this week.
For the VC loophole I'm going with Dusty, and if he doesn't score 130+ I'm giving the C to Pendles who seems to go well against the Swans. Will give Rocky the C if Dusty kills it.

Possible future trades (after round 2) I am looking at are Clurey to Georgiou and Rohan to Higgins, providing the latter 2 both do well this week and the former score poorly again. Apart from that I don't think there's any other correctional trades I'm looking at making.

Round 2

As you could imagine by looking at my team, it was a week to forget. Scored 2038, giving me an overall rank of 42,265  :-\
Positives: Pendles(C), Lmac, Tyson, Ellis, Polec, Sandi, JJK
Unfortunately all those are owned by basically everyone, except JJK
Negatives: Everyone else :P

Trades
Mitchell and Hurn could both possibly be out for a few weeks which really sucks, so may have to offload one of them. However I still may stick with my original plan of Clurey to Georgiou and Rohan to Higgins, not sure though...
If one of these guys is named I'll probably hold on to the other, if they are both out I may offload one for Swallow

kilbluff1985

geez bit of a dilemma with Mitchell and Hurn isnt it i think i'd go Clurey to Georgiou then you can play LMAC and Georgiou to replace them

i guess Rohan to Higgins is a good option or you could trade Mitchell or Hurn to Swallow

GoLions

Looks like Hurn to Swallow is locked in, can't hold onto Hurn for a month (or more).
Will probably have to miss out on Higgins, as I would say Clurey to Georgiou is a much more worthwile trade as it gives me slightly more cash generation, and leaves me with a lot more cash in the bank. Hopefully one of my forward rookies can score well this week.

GoLions

Had a change of heart, as I'm not 100% convinced on Swallow maintaining a 95+ average for the entire season, so thinking of bringing in Hanley instead (and still doing the Clurey-->Georgiou trade). Could come back to bite me in the ass if Swallow keeps scoring like this for the rest of the year, and leaves me with less cash, but I dunno, just not sure on Swallow. Can always trade Suckling to him after his bye if he's still killing it.

Round 3

Score - 2376
Weekly Rank - 2710
Overall Rank - 14,179

Was a pretty good week for me, with not a lot to complain about. Made the changes of Hurn to Hanley, and Clurey to Georgiou. Wasn't a lot to complain about tbh. Unfortunately I lost some points by giving Rocky the VC over Ablett, so probably should've scored 2403 instead.

Looking at next week, Leuey is starting to become a bit of a worry, and Mummy is absolutely killing it. I may downgrade one of Rohan/Michie to a cheap mid (trading Rohan would mean subbing Taylor into the forward line), and then I would have enough cash to upgrade Leuey to Mummy. Not sure though, will probably change my mind on the matter plenty of times in the next few days :P

Definitely time to move Leuey on GL. Im a big fan of his but its clear that as long as Brisbane go with West in the side Leuey isnt going to score big. Im having a similair problem with Goldy. If Currie gets named this week ill probably pull the trigger on Goldy > Mummy while I can

Taking a look now, Rohan-->Ambrose and Leuey-->Mumford looks good, and I'd still have about 30k left

Ringo

Both trades sound GL - But wait to see if Ambrose named.  I am keeping Rohan purely for bench cover as I think he is in Swans best 22 each week.

Just read vinny's comment on Michie breaking his jaw, so may do Michie-->Buckley instead

GoLions

So, doing Michie-->Buckley and Leuey-->Mummy, gives me this, with 26 trades left and 2.9k in the bank

Will look at getting Fasolo next week at F6

GoLions

After a bit of thinking (and seeing this suggestion in another thread), I reckon I'll downgrade Leuey to Hampson who is named this week and should make plenty of cash. With my other trade I'll be offloading Michie to either KK or Kelly, leaning towards KK as it gives me DPP with the backline. Then next week I'll have plenty of cash to turn either Rohan or JKH into Fasolo, depending on their performances this week.

Vinny

That looks good man.

Lets you see who the best ruck is later on but keep in mind, it will cost you an extra trade later. I'd probably still grab Buckley over Kelly considering that he will spend most of the time on the bench.
