Tim Membrey: Sydney Swans

^look at those tats :o^

Price: $132,600 (FanPlanner)
Age: 19
Tattoo Status: Going for worst in the AFL

2013 NEAFL Games: 14
2013 NEAFL Average: 81
NEAFL Scores:
71, 54, 145, 49, 88, 72, 105, 56, 65, 115, 113, 74, 59, 81

Summary: Membrey was still finding his feet this year (he may have been lost on a desert island on someones arm). Membrey had some really good games, kicking multiple goals a lot. Membrey will be one of the guys fighting for the spot that Jude Bolton left in the team, although I wouldn't be surprised if he was the sub.

Verdict: A definite maybe if he is named round 1

Richo's predicted Average: If he can get games and avoid the vest, 70

Toga

With Buddy, Tippett, Goodes, and Sam Reid (+ more probably) probably fighting for three spots in the forward line, I don't see him getting games next year... But when he finally breaks in to the seniors one day I'm sure he will be worth a look!

Nice write up richy :)

@ 188cm and 89kg he wont be competing with Buddy, Tippett or Reid for the main forward spots.
Like Nrich suggested will be fighting for the forward flank/pocket role that was vacated by Bolton, against guys like Rohan, Jetta, Towers

Oh right, didn't realise he was that size! So he plays (for lack of a better example) an Aaron Edwards type role? I mean he's not the size of a key forward but he's pretty strong marking? ???

Yeah, good strong marking option. It appears from the Swans article that its the defensive side that has kept him out of the team to date.

There are roles open for him if he can get them, both the Everett and Bolton roles he is of a similar size

Isn't Reid going to be tried in defence?

Fwd line is looking pretty full atm with Buddy, Reid, Tippett, Goodes, McGlynn, Rohan, Jetta.

His JS has improved slightly with White and morton moving on. but only slightly.

Oh yeah, he aint guaranteed to get a game at all next year, he is still behind a few boys to make the team, but Bolton, White, Everett and Morton were in front of him this year, so it has to be looking up for him!!

specky92

I think he should get a chance next year, the last 4 guys on that list missed a lot of games between them

pommyadam

looking like a pass from me

i know Sydney like to trial their rookies (see Rampe, Jack and Mitchell last year) but i just don't think he'll get consistent games to be a cashcow - unless someone goes down injured in the FWD line

speculation only
If I were the Sydney coach Id be thinking that :P Isnt 3 talls enough for one forward line?

We would have played 3 this year if the players could have got on the park....

Tippett, Reid and resting ruck along with goodes.

Just becomes Franklin, Reid and Tippett the resting ruck along with Goodes.
