If Barry misses, then Chris will shoot Barry and hit him, therefore leaving just the two of you. And if he hits, then it is obviously you and Barry. Either way, it will be your shot, and only 1 other person left who can kill you.

it's not a question about a 2nd shot, it's whether he stays alive or not :P

so assuming that chris shoots barry.

If you shoot chris and you kill him (only different outcome to missing on purpose), then barry has a 2/3 chance of killing you with his next shot.

If you purposely miss, chris kills barry (assuming he shoots barry), then you have a 1/3 chance of killing chris, so a 2/3 chance of dying.

so it's exactly the same probability of dying.

CrowsFan, Fantasygun, Nigey and Ziplock are out walking. They come to a rickety old wooden bridge. The bridge is weak and only able to carry the weight of two of them at a time. Because they are in a rush and the light is fading they must cross in the minimum time possible and must carry a torch (flashlight) on each crossing.

They only have one torch and it can't be thrown. Because of their different fitness levels and some minor injuries they can all cross at different speeds. CrowsFan can cross in 1 minute, Fantasygun in 2 minutes, Nigey in 5 minutes and Ziplock in 10 minutes.

What is the shortest amount of time taken for them to all get across the bridge?

I wasn't sure I had got it right, I was thinking the right answer might have been like have Ziplock carry the torch over, and have Nigey walk over at the same time (5 minutes), then when Nige gets to the other side have FG cross (two minutes) and then when he gets to the other side, have CrowsFan cross (1 minute), meaning they all cross in the 10 minutes Zip takes, and the torch is always on the bridge because Zippy has it... If that makes sense haha :o
