Riddle #14

A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires. The second is full of assassins with loaded guns. The third is full of lions that haven't eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him?

CrowsFan

The room full of lions. Surely they would be dead?

I'm pretty sure it's lead.

the correct answer is graphite.
FOH... Dave even said it was right.  ::)
The source I got it from said lead, soooooo
Was going to say the same thing Holz. Pencil's contain graphite, not lead ;)

I have heard this riddle before and you are actually missing an important part to solve it - so whoever has solved this has cheated and used google.

You need to give the color of Alan's hat in the riddle and Bertrand will answer the opposite of that.

Answer:
They are standing in this order -- CECIL - BERTRAND - ALAN (Cecil can see Bertrand/Alan, Betrand can see Alan, Alan cant see anyone)

If Alan and Bertrand had the same color hat then Cecil would answer the opposite color.  Therefore after no answer for a minute Bertrand knows his is the opposite of Alan's.

the real answer is 'any of them with half a brain'

since black and white are shades not colours, guessing the correct colour of your hat is no colour.

Riddle #16

How will you behead sixty eight and leave eighteen?

CrowsFan

Do it using Roman numerals.

68 in Roman numerals is LXVIII. Take off, or 'behead' the L, leaves you with XVIII, which is 18 ;)

Riddle #17

Can you find the odd one out - "Stun", "Ton", "Evil", "Letter", "Mood", "Bad", "Snap", "Straw"?

CrowsFan

Letter. The others can all spell words backwards.
