Nige says: Dom Tyson's had quite the career to date. He started out as Pick No. 3 for the GWS Giants and was just recently traded to the Demons in a deal that saw his old club snare Pick No. 2 in this year's draft along with others bits and bobs. He's had a knee injury cut his season and only managed 3 games for 2013. However, at Melbourne, expect Dom to flourish. Dom's a good decision-making midfielder who excels at clearances and winning the contested ball. His disposal under pressure is great and he uses his left boot and hands very well. From a fantasy perspective, if Dom is fit and firing during pre-season, you have to give some thought to selecting the kid. His price is almost too hard to ignore and his scoring potential is very appealing. He should be named Round 1 barring injury and he should definitely come into calculation for your 2014 Supercoach side. He may not set the world on fire to begin with, but I expect big things from such an amazing talent. Somewhat of a bold prediction here, he'll average about 80-90 if all goes well.

Predicted 2014 average: 80-90

170k he is a lock but i dont think he will get a 30% discount.

without the discount he will be 220k thats pushing it a little but im thinking i will still pick him up. Will just be 30-40k more than guys like aish, kelly etc..

if fully fit should esentially be one of the best rookie pick ups out there.

I would happily take a 80 average.

Nige

Played 10 games in 2012 and only 3 this year because of injury... surely he'll be discounted?  ???

he should but VS make it up on the spot, if they feel at 170k he is too much a bargain i wouldnt be suprised to see him abit more expensive, around 200k is my guess.

im still paying that if he is named round 1.

For what Melb gave up you would think he is an automatic starter into the 22.

If fit he should be best 22 in nearly every team.

Well I rate him highly not sure how high Afl coaches do, Melbourne surely rate him though.

If this guy never got injured he would be a tier 2 player right now

People are forgetting that he's playing for Melbourne now. That automatically turns any young player into a dud the moment they put the jumper on

Or he turns into a star and averages really well because he's a young gun surrounded by spuds

I rate him very highly also Holzman, like the look of him

Jroo

He's cheaper than Jack Mrtin, I think most will start with him.
