Nige says: Dion Prestia is the little pocket rocket from the Gold Coast Suns. Small in stature, big in heart and has an appetite for hard work. After a few years in the system, the former No.9 draft pick really picked up his game in 2013 to become one of the Suns' top midfielders. The 'nuggety' fellow, known as 'The Human Meatball' had a great season, capped off by finishing runner-up to his superstar skipper and teammate, Gary Ablett Jr. Prestia ranking in the top echelon for the Suns in disposals (2nd), tackles (3rd), rebound 50s (2nd), inside-50s (3rd) and clearances (2nd), further proving how good he's become. In fantasy terms, Prestia produced a bit of a mixed bag as seen above, but finished with a cool 97.5 average with 8 scores of 100 or more. I think he's got what it takes to push him average over the century mark, but only time will tell. At the end of the day, if he doesn't do it, he'll still average similarly to 2013, so it's understandable if people are wanting to avoid him. He's gonna be somewhat pricy, and there are other options, but he's certainly a player to consider at the very least. Personally, I may very well start him. He's looking tasty (sorry, I had to), so will he satisfy your appetite or will refuse to take a bite?

Predicted 2014 average: 95-105

Think 2015 will be the year I have him in my side. Will keep my eye on him though.

NEWLY crowned Suns vice-captain Dion Prestia could be in doubt for round 1 after suffering a calf injury at training today.

Prestia will have scans on the calf problem later today after he was forced to pull out of the club's 2km time trial with the issue this morning.

Dion Prestia has escaped a serious calf injury, with scans revealing a minor strain.

Prestia sent an injury scare through the GC SUNS camp yesterday, when the recently elected Vice-Captain went down clutching his calf during training.

Immediately assessed by the clubs medical staff, Prestia underwent scans late yesterday to determine the full extent of the injury.

General Manager of Football Operations, Marcus Ashcroft confirmed the injury to goldcoastfc.com.au.

"Dion sustained a calf injury at training yesterday and was sent for scans to assess the injury.

"The scans revealed a grade one calf strain, as a result we anticipate Dion will be on a modified training program for a couple of weeks and he should be in a position to return to full training before the end of the NAB Challenge."

Not bad at this stage, slightly exceeding the prediction.

Looking good so far. Before 2 weeks ago he was well over this prediction.

He's been a bit below par lately and looks like he's only just gonna get the ton. Shown that he can get a decent score with a couple of 120s and even two 140s so far this season.  8)
