Please note that this is only one persons point of view on how they will perform and I am only a mere mortal.

Also note that Swans players aren't known for their consistent scoring week in week out and are the lowest averaging team in DT scoring. So if you choose a Swans player in your team and he doesn't perform one week and you whinge about it in a thread, don't expect any sympathy from myself or other Swans fans. We have carried the burden of selecting our favourite Swans players for years only to watch them kick our fantasy teams in the nuts.

Tabs says: An outside midfielder with more than 20 disposals in each of his NEAFL games this year. A definite project player with plenty of potential. Has jumped ahead of Cunningham in the depth but behind Mitchell. I expect him to play at least 10 AFL games this year but it could be a week in week out situation. I wouldn't get in in any fantasy comp this year but definitely next. If you have him in your XV league then keep him and watch him grow.

Tabs says: A tagging/run-with midfielder (on Murphy or Dal Santo) that can also be used as a defensive forward tag (on Birchall). Still just in the best 22 but may lose his DPP this year after spending most of his time in the midfield after only kicking 12 goals in 2012 and 10 in 2013. I wouldn't consider him as a fantasy player but would be ok in the XV leagues, but not as a weekly player in the mids.

Tabs says: Had his chance to shine this year but missed it. An knee injury during a 196 point win in the NEAFL, meant that he would have to wait longer to get back in to the 1s. Coming back from the knee injury Cunners struggled to find form with only 3 games in the NEAFL with over 20 disposals. In my opinion, Cunners held on to his spot at the club after a solid game in the 1s against Carlton in the semi-finals. Otherwise he would be looking for another club now. Fantasy wise, he has slipped down the depth chart at the Swans with Biggs now ahead of him. He will play some time in the 1s in 2104 but he will need a couple of injuries or suspensions to get in to the team. Will need a stellar 2014 to get into the 1s and I wouldn't be looking to him as a starting player in any fantasy team.

Tabs says: Very hot and cold in the VFL this year and I was very surprised that the Swans got him. yes they do need some ruck backup but I thought they would get someone in the NAT draft. Getting in Derickx does mean that the Swans wont require another ruck to be selected in either draft after the addition of the big yank tank, Patrick Mitchell. I don't see Derickx getting a game in the 1s this year unless Pyke and another tall ruck option go down with injury. He is a good pick up for the Swans 2s and will enjoy playing in the NEAFL. Not only is Derickx not fantasy relevant but he shouldnt be in any XV squads.

Tabs says: Looking at the 2013 stats, the main thing I see is that he lost between $160-190k on his starting price in the first 8 games and then didn't make up any of that money back. So his starting price in 2014 should be well down on what it was in 2013. But I still don't think you can start him. I would personally give him a couple of weeks and look to pick him up around the first bye period, maybe just before. He will be getting used to his new team and it might take a while for him to settle. But once he is settled then BANG!!!! If you have him in XV definitely start him but it would be too tricky to pick when to start him as captain, so I wouldn't in 2014.

Tabs says: After a slow start to the year, Goodes numbers were on the up but then a knee injury in Round 13 almost put an end to Goodes AFL career. His knee has troubled him ever since as every time he tried to start running again, his knee would need to get drained of fluid. I dont think you can start Goodes in any fantasy team at the moment with his knee. XV teams dont worry I think he will be ok but its a definite wait and see. If he can get back on the field, he will score well, but will more then likely play 80% of his time in the fwd line. He will not get his DPP back either. The less said about the other incident involving Adam Goodes in 2013, the better.

Tabs says: Usually takes the second tall or resting ruckman is the backline. When AJ comes back into the 1s, Grundy may be freed up to be a sweeper or rebounding back, but is more likely to be on someone. Not worth looking at in any fantasy teams and if he is higher then your 3rd back in XV teams I would be worried.

Tabs says: Very surprising that Hanners scores better in SC than DT as he isnt known for gathering 1%s. As an inside mid in the engine room of the Swans, he will attract a tag every now and then and his scores will suffer. He can score big but with a difference of 95 between his highest and lowest score in DT, select him with caution. In respects to XV leagues, you can always start him but whether you select him as captain or not is where you need to be cautious.

Kinnear Beatson says: "He's close to the youngest player in the draft, but we just think he's got some class. Dual-sided player, just finds his way out of packs. There was one game when he was playing for Prince Alfred he really stood out - it was just his ability to get the ball at stoppages and then he pushed forward and kicked a couple of crucial goals."

Tabs says: A good inside mid that likes working around the stoppage. Can be prone to just throwing the ball on the foot though, which he will work on.

Tabs says: 12  months ago if you had told little BJ that he would play 9 games in the 1s for the Swans this year, he would have laughed at you and said you are joking. But little BJ put his head down and got to work. After 5 games of 20+ disposals in the 2s BJ got his wish and came on as the sub in R11. 5 of his 9 games in the 1s were sub affected games and that wont change in 2014. Another concern in his disposal efficiency with the ball. He is definitely worth considering as a future prospect but at the moment he shouldn't be considered as a starter in any fantasy team
