Tabs says: I thought that with the signing of Derickx that the Swans wouldn't target a Ruck in the NAT draft but they did. This means that Naismith won't ge upgraded at the start of the season. It will be interesting to see who plays in which NAB cup game out of Dericks, Naismith and Nankervis.

Tabs says: Hasn't been fantasy relevant since he lost his DPP and it doesnt look like coming back anytime soon. In fact he is more likely to get M/B rather than M/F as he has spent some time behind the ball as a lose defender. Still finished in top 15 mids in DT and 29th in SC. Can't see a lot of coaches picking him in 2014 as most people will go for JPK in DT or Jack in SC, if they pick a Swans mid. He may improve his averages scores from 2013 in 2014 but i think it is highly unlikely. For those with ROk in their XV teams, never fear. You can start him every week and if you choose the correct week, he will be a gun captain for you as well. Just not every week.

Tabs says: Although the figures state that his average improved this year, his fantasy year was much like last year. Started off well and then faded late. Known to Swans supporters as JB jnr as he is a tackling machine just like Bolton (averaging 5+ a game) and always gives 100%. One thing Parker needs to work on is his disposal efficiency, with a low of 47% and an average of 66%. Last year he was a mid priced player and shot up quickly with some good scores in the first couple of weeks. In 2014 he will be priced just under premium status which will keep a lot of prospective buyers away. But, if you compare Bolton's stats in 2012 to Parker's stats in 2013, Parker is a chance of getting DPP (M/F) status. He is a no for me this year in fantasy which sucks as he is my favourite players, but a definite starter in XV leagues.

Luckily the Swans were able to sign him on a 2 year contract with their last pick in the rookie draft. A definite future player for the Swans and hopefully he can grow into a great engine room player for the bloods.

Tabs says: Now that Mummy has left the Swans via the no dickhead policy being enforced, I think Pyke's scores will increase slightly but only slightly. The Swans have gone for a more mobile ruck structure this year with either Tippett, LRT or possibly even Naismith. All rucks were a pain in the arse for all coaches this year in DT and SC, as they were all well below par. Can you start Pyke in any fantasy team? Only in XV comps thats it. Pyke will be cheaper than other ruckmen but he wont score as well, IMO.

Tabs says: After his R1 debut in the 1s, Rampe was sent back to the 2s and I thought that would be the his only game in the 1s this year. But after 2 games in the 2s, Medusa returned to the 1s in place of Everitt. From there, he made the spot his own. Playing either on the half back flank or full back flank and occasionally moing up the field against the less stronger teams and spending some time in the engine room. A great user of the ball but I think the horse has already bolted in regards to Rampe in fantasy teams. The fanplanner currently has Rampe as a mid but i think he will be a back and only a back. He made his money last year as a rookie priced player and is too expensive to start this year. I wouldnt even consider him as a starting player in XV leagues but would make an ok depth player.

Tabs says: The $64,000 question is where does Reid play next year in the Swans lineup. With Tippett and now Buddy joining the lineup, Reid looks set to either join the tall forward line and help out in the ruck or play at CHB. A quad injury saw Reid subbed out in round 9 and then only played one more quarter for the year before another quad injury ruled him on for the year. Not much talk has made about Reid and pitching in with the 2nd ruck role at Sydney now Mumford has moved on. He is currently under priced but he would be a huge gamble if anyone is keen. I don't think he is fantasy relevant until we find out where the Swans play him. If they play him up front then he wont be a huge or consistent scorer each week, but its the same if he plays at the back. At this stage you cant even start him in XV leagues, but he is young and at only 22 his time to shine will come.

Tabs says: The most impressive stat about Teddles is that he was on the field for 100% of the game in 15 games in 2013 and played over 95% of every game except when it rained against Carlton in round 14. Not known for high scoring in DT but much better scorer in SC but not fantasy relevant at all. You could start him in WXV but other than that he would hopefully just be a depth player. Even in WXV you wouldnt want him to be higher than you B3 or you would be in scoring trouble.

Tabs says: Where oh where does LRT play, oh where oh where indeed. The knee injury that caused him to miss most of 2013 may have put him out of the best 22 for the Swans in 2014. As the saying goes, He's not getting any younger, as its not physically possible. LRT has been the MR Fix it over the past couple of yeas either playing forward or back, depending upon the opposition and and who is out for the Swans. LRT is no longer fantasy relevant and shouldn't be selected in any fantasy teams including all XV leagues. A harsh call yes, but i believe it to be true at the moment.

Tabs says: To be honest, at the moment Rohan is the only current Swans player that I am considering next year, but only in SC. Hopefully he can play some full games even though he is your ideal green vest candidate. If he is priced at $170k in SC and plays a full game, expect him to kill it. I see the Rooster more as an impact player and is more a SC player than a DT player and should also score well in Sportal, SB and CB teams. In regards to XV leagues, the only thing stopping you from starting him every week is the vest issue. I think with a full pre-season under his belt, the Rooster will be in for a scorching 2014 if he can stay injury free.

Tabs says: An abdominal injury limited Shaw to 2 games in the first 4 months of the season. Shaw then came back through the NEAFL before returning to the 1s in round 19. But didnt last last as he ruptured his ACL in his right knee against Geelong in Round 22. Doubt still remains on whether Shaw will be right to go come round 1 2014. Shaw isnt really a fantasy relevant player though as i a run with player and very rarely gets loose, only against the less stronger teams. At 32 and coming back from a Lars operation, its coming to the end of Shaw's lifespan as an AFL player. Will 2014 be Shaw's last season. I think so

Tabs says: Kicked a goal in every game he play in 2013 except the final against the blues, in which he only lasted 5 minutes (but still had a chance to get on the scoreboard). With the addition of Buddy and Mummy leaving, i think Tippett plays 70% of the game at full forward and 30% in the ruck. Hopefully this doesn't have any affect on his goal kicking. Only played 10 games last year, and as predicted he kicked the most goals for the Swans in 2013. Could be a good point of difference for some fantasy coaches, especially with the juicy Round 3 clash with the Crows in Adelaide, being the game where his price will either go up or down. Personally i hope he kicks a thousand goals against the crows and he probably will, but he will be too expensive to start, especially with his injury issues late in 2013. Definitely a starter in all XV leagues as long as he can stay on the park.
