I dont think they will ply both Macca and Eski from the half back line. as they both like to play loose. Macca likes playing loose behind the defence whilst Eski just looks for the ball and not the opponent. This is where the Swans ran into trouble this year when eski had to go back a pick up a fwd and was ball watching rather than where is opponent was

Mailman the 2nd

Still unsure as to whether Reid will actually be tested down back or not.

Otherwise everything looks good. With Everitt and others gone it makes the starting 22 much more clear cut and if Jetta and Rohan can fire up it'll be scary.

Who will be the go to sub? This year it was different because guys like Brandon Jack, Richards and Cunningham were all getting their first games. My guess is one of Jetta and Rohan will be the green vest, assuming no major changes

SydneyRox

Still not convinced they will try and turn Reid into a CHB/FB

I like the idea of Eski and Mcveigh working off HB. You are right about the defensince side of things though Tabs

If Johnson doesnt make rnd1, Rampe into starting lineup for me.

Mailman the 2nd

i think we've always been a rebound team in the back half, the defensive aspect is more the midfield and Full back line and Shaw, Malceski, Mcveigh are often tagged anyway so it locks down the opposing forward-line

Dont know if we can replace AJ with Rampe though as we lose some height

I thought that Rampe was basically same height as AJ.

I think Mitchell is too much of gun inside player to not be in the starting 22. Will fill the hole left really well.

Edit: AJ is 4cm taller

Wow thought it might be a bit more than that

Would Laidler just slot into defensive depth? Maybe swap with Rampe every now and again

Mailman the 2nd

I'd say so. I think he's probably on the cusp of the team. Probably will get a similar amount of games to Rampe, although didn't AJ re-injure his leg this year? Is he expected for round 1?

Ricochet

by the looks of things Towers is still a long way behind a starting 22

He was listed as a Emerg a couple of times later in the year and is an outside mid rather than an inside mid. Will be up against Jetta, Biggs, Cunningham for a spot
