Anyone else? :(
I did mine on time.  :P

Next one comes on Saturday!

Need to pick something a bit different I think. Less 'mainstream'... if you know what I mean.  :P

#7: Hurry Up, We're Dreaming - M83

One of the most captivating double albums I know of, if you have an hour and a half to spare to sit down and listen to this one I would strongly suggest that you do! You've likely heard Midnight City (linked track), because that shower was huge.

I'll update all this toady.

Might as well do Week 7 now.

Give me a few.  ;)

Free the Universe - Major Lazer

Track Provided: Jah No Partial

Genre: Electronic, Dancehall, Reggae, Post-Dubstep, Bounce, Moombahton, Indie Pop (A bit of everything :P)

Free the Universe by Major Lazer was a fantastic album. However, it's one of those 'love it or hate it' albums in my experience. The album has a ridiculous amount of features with the likes of Wyclef Jean, Bruno Mars, Danielle Haim, Flux Pavilion and Ezra Kroenig (of Vampire Weekend) amongst the featured artists. The album's notable for producing the massive hit 'Get Free', but I've supplied the next best song on the album - Jah No Partial (which is about the Rastafarian god 'Jah'). Personally, I reckon this album was a big step up from Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do.

My Chumps

The first album had a better name though :P

Bit of a left field choice Nige, but I like it!

That it did.  ;D

I like left field.  ;)

#8 Spoon - Transference

2010 indie rock from the consistently amazing American outfit Spoon. Taking a more minimalist approach and utilising more repetition on their 7th album, Spoon were able to create a catchy, enjoyable yet unique album that's been in heavy rotation for me recently. Not my favourite album of theirs (see: Kill the Moonlight) but something I've been bumping a lot as of late.

Track: The Mystery Zone

Notes From the Underground

Track Provided: Lion

Genre: Rap Rock, Rap Metal, Nu Metal, Alternative Rock

Hollywood Undead's style is definitely not for everyone. They're a bit different to say the least. Being a rap rock band, they can cater to both genres. Notes From the Underground has been their most successful album on the charts and it's easy to see why. The album is a better version of their second album - American Tragedy. As for the album itself? Well, it's got catchy tracks, darker ones, a nice mixed bag really. The linked track, Lion, is a favourite of mine, while other greats tracks include We Are, Dead Bite and Kill Everyone.

Joe Satriani: Surfing with the Alien

Track provided: Ice 9

the album starts with a heavily industrial guitar sound and with some slick transitions flow subtlety from heavy rock
through slower harmonies to send a listener on a journey that would prove to be the quintessential instrumental album
that still 25 years later is a measuring stick for all instrumental's to come

CrowsFan

Thought I would bring this back because I discovered a new album last week, which is incredible...

Silent Treatment - Highasakite

Track Provided:Since Last Wednesday

So I first heard Highasakite about a month back, looked them up online and found that they were releasing an album in April and couldn't wait. And let's just say I was not disappointed once I got it. Highasakite are an indie group from Norway. I'm really shower at explaining why I enjoy particular music or what makes it good, so my advice is to just give it a listen and you will love it :)

AFEV

You got me into Blood Orange and Big Scary CF so I'll trust you on this one - will give them a listen soon. :)

Nige

I'm all for getting in to new stuff.

I'll definitely give these guys a listen.

CrowsFan

Ah great. Let me know what you both think :)
