Just going to roll mine over to week one.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift yr Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven

Dark, brooding, atmospheric progressive rock music, taking elements from classical with soaring crescendos and gritty lows. I'm a newbie when it comes to this genre, and I'm amazed by how meticulously people are able craft 20+ minutes songs into pure beauty.

Behold, the first 6 beautiful minutes.

"Fun Vol.2" - G.O.R.K & Nick Holmes

New sort of rule or suggestion or guideline:

Post a link to one track off the album when you post. Encourage everyone to check out each others links!

AFEV

I'll put the links in the OP when they're provided. :)

Mr.Craig

At another forum I use they have a "forced listening" thread were you post a track, then the next person gives some brief thoughts on that track before posting one of their own. Might be an idea for another thread rather than this one but it could be a bit of fun.

Toga

Nice suggestion Chumps 8)

Album: Enema of the State

Artist: Blink-182

Genre: Alternative Rock? "Pop/punk"?

Track: What's my age again?

I love the idea. I guess the only problem is that there's no guarantee somebody will actually listen to the track and won't just slam it for no good reason. I can especially see this becoming a problem on this forum because so many people here are quick to judge, especially with music.

True. I'm not sure how I'd react if someone posted a track by Michael Bolton, Ronan Keating, One Direction or Rob Thomas. (Cough, Nigey, cough cough  :P)
