My Chumps

Do it Nigel! Put in the OP that you have to write at least two sentences about the song before it ;)

Yeah Toges, was a bit of a fan when it came out a couple of years ago (I think?). Haven't listened to it recently but still like it.

So, Person A posts a song and then post their own two cents on it.

Then Person B listens, and give their two cents and provides a song.

Is that what you mean?

At another forum I use they have a "forced listening" thread were you post a track, then the next person gives some brief thoughts on that track before posting one of their own. Might be an idea for another thread rather than this one but it could be a bit of fun.

I gathered from this that all we had to do was post a song for the next person to listen to and comment on. Then they provide one and repeat.

Well isn't it pretty much the same thing? I just thought you could put in a set amount to write about so people just don't comment "that's shower" or "that's good" and then provide their own tune.

Yeah true haha.

Mr.Craig

This is where I got the idea from if you want to check out how it works. :)

Might just completely flog the rules and post 'em up.

Worth noting you got me totally addicted to Big Scary over the last few weeks CF. :)
Might post another album actually that I've had on repeat lately, given it's Saturday and that was meant to be the day I updated aha.

Nige

Will get mine up either after my shower tonight or tomorrow morning.  :D

Hot Mess - Cobra Starship

Track Provided: You're Not In On The Joke

Genre: Alternative Rock, Pop Punk, Synthpop

Cobra Starship's second album was a great follow-up to their debut one. Containing well known tracks such as Good Girls Go Bad and the titular track - Hot Mess, the album is a really fun bit of music with a pop and disco vibe. Lead by Gabe Saporta, the Cobra Starship boys have some gems on this album such as the provided track - You're Not In On The Joke and Pete is the Only Reason We're Famous. It's obviously not for everybody, and it's not the most serious album, but it's well worth a listen if you don't mind this kind of stuff.

Songs to Break Up To - Ta-ku

Track Provided: I Miss You

Not the greatest album by any means, but every time I hear the song I Miss You I can't get it out of my head for ages. Pretty chilled out album, not a fan of a couple of the songs as some sound a little similar, but one to give a go to I think.

Mr.Craig

"The duo, which has valued coherency and neatness, move towards live instrumentation, peppering their fizzy electronics with thumbed bass lines and crumpling drums. The music that results remains small and detailed, but also allows the humid outside air to contaminate it."

Key Track: "You Took Your Time" feat King Krule

AFEV

I need to get a bit edgier, but the trend of acclaimed releases will continue for a little longer.

Week 5: Total Loss - How To Dress Well
Cold Nites

Shout out to the Daftside remix as well.
