My Chumps

Quote from: meow meow on November 05, 2013, 06:14:14 PM
Once upon a time there was this guy named Rock.
He had commitment issues and slept around with many different women, and had many children. Two of his kids were named Hard Rock, and Punk Rock.
Hard Rock got married and had a kid named Heavy Metal.
Punk Rock had a few kids - one being a vicious, aggressive child named Hardcore Punk.
Heavy Metal gave birth to many kids, including a rather timid, melancholy daughter named Doom Metal.
One day the crazy Hardcore Punk took advantage of innocent Doom Metal and got her pregnant.
The result was a complex character named Sludge Metal who exhibited traits of both parents.
In 1992 when Sludge was only 5 years old he had a son that was very similar to himself, but the son prefered to focus on atmospheric and textured riffs. Sometimes he even sounds a little bit like some other distant relative named Post Rock. This kid was named Atmospheric Sludge Metal and here he is...
Hahaha, this was hilarious by the way.

#3 Shrines - Purity Ring

Track provided: Ungirthed

Probably the most exciting debut of the year for me. Witch house at its best.

God damn, so much new music I need to listen to!

Nige

Had to think a bit about which album to provide. So many choices. Alas, I had to choose, and you'll see the others in coming weeks... But this week, it's all about:

Circus In The Sky - Bliss N Eso

Genre: Hip hop

Track Provided: Act Your Age feat Bluejuice

Many, including myself, are saying this is their best album to date. Bliss N Eso continue to remain one of the best acts in the Australian hip hop scene. This album is pretty much great all-round. Tracks like the provided Act Your Age are simply Bliss N Eso at their best. Other tracks worth a listen are I Am Somebody feat Nas and Reservoir Dogs feat Seth Sentry, Pez, Drapht and 360. It also features House of Dreams, the track used in the advertisement for the AFL 2013 finals. If there's one Aussie hip hop album you listen to and/or download in 2013, this would be the one.

My Chumps

I still can't believe they got Nas as a feature :o

Toga

Great choices by MC, Sid & Nige so far to start this week 8) Love all of them!

Will have to have more of a think about mine before I post it! :P

Mr.Craig

A musical comedy album that actually has some really cool songs along with being hilarious. "Sugarlumps" has easily been the most played song on my ipod over the last few years. Check it out. ;)
