Interesting they called up Christian and not Cutting - Has Cutting upset the selectors or something,
he's too young for them Ringo

Cic please just stop with the "too young" thing. You've made your point, but now you're just being silly. Australia will select young players if they show some form. In the last 5 years they have debuted the following people all under 23 at the time...

* Ashton Agar - 19
* James Faulkner - 23
* Mitchell Starc - 21
* James Pattinson - 21
* Pat Cummins - 18
* Nathan Lyon - 23
* Steve Smith - 21
* Phil Hughes - 20

Christians been good from what Ive seen of him so far.
Yeah he's been good, a traitor but still good

Problem is he is the guy that doesn't make it at the next level, as Finchy will show again. Cutting has that quality I think

Cutterz problem is his coach has done him no favours by batting him down at 13 in the BB

Anyway, why the frog not bring in Smithy? ???

I was a the PM's XI on Tuesday and Cutting was at fine leg. Binga Lee opened the bowling and took 2 wickets. I thought that this match should play the up and comers at the forefront so I shouted out to Ben whats wrong Ben ask Binga for the ball you should have opened. He replied "He's a bit quicker that me"

Ben ended up coming on as the fifth bowler and took a wicket but really is that the way to treat an up and comer in a match to see how you go against the touring team.

I think the fact is that Cutting just isn't that good a bowler. Harris, Siddle, Johnson, Pattinson, Starc, Cummins, Coulter-Nile, Bird, Faulkner, McKay and Bollinger are ahead of him across Tests and ODIs. I feel if we were picking Cutting it would be on his batting alone as his bowling is not as good as the rest of these. I think Cutting would be great for the T20 side, but not ODIs or Tests.

Mailman the 2nd

With the BBL being the the main way the very young players are coming through there are very few pure bowlers coming but instead a bunch of bowling and batting allrounders who aren't particularly up to par with either

Cook wins his third toss in a row and will bat

Doherty and Watson out, Johnson and Marsh in

People say Shane Watson can't use a review. Joe Root can easily challenge for this title. I reckon this summer he's over 7 times used up a review for England....

Root's are actually close like umpire call and whatnot

Not absolutely plumb like Watson.

Ballance dances Maxy and gets stumped.

reckon Clarkey should get the credit for that wicket. tied Ballance down in the previous over.

good teamwork  8)

some of them have been yeah, but at the end of the day though it's a review lost. ;)

Ballance outsmarted by Clarke then outdone by Maxwell. :( Aussies fought back well here.
