James Taylor needs to get in the squad, as does Nick Compton.

Your always adding someone elses name who needs to join the squad PB. Just face it. England stink. No matter who they bring in they will get belted!!
England stunk, I can face it. That's why I'm suggesting the changes that should be made.

If you don't like the fact that I am voicing my opinion and thoughts on a forum then don't respond/read it.

I like reading everyone elses valid opinions. Then i come across yours, and i wonder how its possible that one human being can be such an Idiot.
What? He's saying that England did shower and changes need to be made. How is that being an idiot? Do you think they did well and no changes should be made?

DA Fuqqq you on about. Weeks ago he was saying how bad the selectors were and that Bairstow and Ballance etc needed to play for them to win etc etc.. They bring them in and they are even worse than what they had. Now he says more changes need to be done. Guy is a looper..
Ballance has played one game and in the 1st innings was one of their highest scorers when the entire team collapsed. Bairstow hasn't done much worse than Prior and has only played what, 2 games?

You can not be serious.. Are you trying to justify that his 18 was a test worthy innings? B1tch pleaseeeeeeeee. Prior at least has ability. Bairstow is a hack.

Did you expect him to make a century in his first game? England had a massive collapse, and he held his own. Struggled a lot when Lyon came on, but was quite solid apart from that. Prior was flowering terrible and it was common sense to give someone else a couple of games.

JBs-Hawks

Umm since when was 18 a good innings, collapse or no collapse? Maybe if he scored more they wouldnt have collapsed so badly ::)

GoLions

In that case they may as well drop everyone except for Broad and Stokes.

I never said 18 was a good innings. What I'm saying is that it was his first game and it is extremely difficult to perform well when the rest of your team has turned to shower.

Nope, i expected him to fail dismally just like he did. But a respectable score would of been 60 or 70 if he wanted to justify his selection. Would stick by Prior, he has some good stats next to his name as a keeper batsmen. Definitely wouldnt drop him for a hack like Bairstow.. Thats for sure.

GoLions, don't bother arguing on my behalf, save yourself. :P

Ballance struggled against Lyon, and that saw his downfall, however I thought he coped with the other bowlers pretty well. (Johnson did hit him in the head yes, thought he look comfortable besides that)

Prior needed a rest, and perhaps he should lose the VC tag, his performances since then have been shocking. Bairstow was the back up keeper on tour, I certainly do not believe England were expecting to use Bairstow as a keeper in the series, and he is not the best keeper in England. And he's had a poor run whilst being in the team, so he'll go back to County now and have to prove himself again.

JB, the collapse came before Ballance arrived at the crease? Not sure how you can say they wouldn't have collapsed if he had scored more, he walked in at 4/nothing and then another wicket fell straight after and they were 5/23. That was the collapse, it had nothing to do with Ballance. ???

Well Bairstow was trained by England originally to be a specialist batsman and as a result he had a pretty limited experience keeping for County cricket in Yorkshire I think.

He's not supposed to be a direct replacement for Prior, same as how Borthwick is supposed to be a batting all-rounder who occasionally bowls, rather than a direct replacement for a spinner

I can't see England changing their team that much, I think its more their mindset & game plan than the actual personnel.

Think Rankin and Borthwick won't see another game for at least 3-4 years but otherwise Root and Prior will probably return.

Coaching staff heads will roll though. Graham Gooch and Andy Flower will be lucky to last till Feburary

Do England have any spinners that are ready?
