Oh, and on an off-topic sidenote, Mailman's DP is once again seasonal.  :P

It was my plan all along

Do the Poms have a keeper in waiting? Prior lost the plot and needs to be dropped, hopefully for us he isn't  ;D

Must admit, if the cracks in the pitch get any wider, I think you'll find Prior hiding in one of them. He's had more of a "mare" this game than I can remember anyone having. Mind you, it's been like that since he arrived in this great country. Then again, what has Cook, Peterson ,Bell and the rest of them done. Play in England= bullies, play in Australia= bunnies

Bairstow is England's backup this series isn't he?

I'd bat for 20 overs in the morning, declare before lunch, as long as they hit out enough but with Watto ready to pounce after surviving and Smith then Bailey, get to 450+ then send in the Poms, no real point in batting half way till tea is there?

Well it all depends on how the pitch is playing this morning. If they declare when you say they would have 450 to get in 160 overs which is gettable (South Africa did it). I'd go through to lunch and do the sums and at the latest declare 30 mins after lunch.

There is no way England will be chasing 450 on this pitch. South Africa did it once and that was the second highest run chase of all time. Lightning doesn't strike twice. And especially not with the huge cracks that have already opened up, and that will continue to get wider.

They will be bundled out for under 300 again.

PowerBug

It'll take something special from here for England, but do not count them out, ever. They won't give this way. If they put away the 'get out' shots which Cook, KP, Stokes, Prior all played, and makes Australia get them out, they might just survive 5 sessions.

If Clarke doesn't declare before lunch he puts the Aussies in a tough position. England are gonna bowl really slowly today, to try and delay the declaration as much as possible. 5 minute overs lol.

This is awesome...

Haha that is pretty amazing. I didn't realise how similar Clarke and Cooks stats are, Clarke's average is quite a bit better though. Can't see anyone catching sachin.

I would bat till 45minutes before lunch going for quick runs before letting the fast bowlers loose. Should have 8 overs before lunch

Interesting fact for Jukes:

Warner, Haddin and Clarke have made more runs than the entire England team. ;D
