Watson can flower off back to the Shield. He has no consistency to keep his spot in the side imo. Our no. 3 needs to be averaging more than mid- 30s...

the number 3 also needs to be able to make big tons, watto is unable to convert the starts he gets. He is very valuable with the ball because he never goes for runs but his batting has not been up to scratch. I don't think he gets dropped yet, though another couple of failures and the pressure will grow.

Made Swann captain like twice in England when he scored shower

then have him as a player in my team (not captain) for first two tests here... still shower

drop him and now he has a catch and a wicket with Australia only 3 down.

And Clarke fml

Typical Clarke, scores tons when I don't have him. Useless when I do.

Mailman the 2nd

Steve Smith comes in time to get out my pitchfork and torch and blame him when he scores 3 runs...

could really have broken england today, perfect batting conditions with no seam or swing, but 3 soft wickets keeping them in it, i expect 300 to be plenty given how hard and fast the pitch is... if they couldn't handle johnno at adelaide, certainly won't be able to here

Comment on cricinfo sums it up perfectly for me

I find it difficult to understand why Watson is being dismissed in Tests so cheaply and so lamely, so consistently," laments Mal. "Surely, surely, surely he should be back to being dismissed cheaply and lamely in Shield cricket, and someone with some fight and some mental strength should come into the Test side."

Jokes on you, he's already on double that.
