Ugh i hate the "we're winning its ok" mentality. Complacency breeds mediocrity.

He has contributed nothing this series. If Australia were losing, he'd be first out the door.

We need an anchor at 6 like Ian Bell, not a 20/20 slogger with his bat held sideways

yeah i agree

funny thing is our bowlers seem to have better techniques than half our batsmen... johsnon/pattinson/starc/agar look technically superior to smith... less moving parts and a nice straight blade lol

+4, apart for the bit when the lady offered us a ride in the golf cart. After walking ,for me what  seemed like miles (got a pretty bad knee that desperately needs a op), I was sruggling bad, then the mentioned lady says about the lift, I thought yes great. Be4 I could say a word, Grazz says "nah we're right luv" lol. To make matters worse, 5 abousolute stuning young lasses jump in the damn cart. I reckon that's why he bought the first beers

love this quote from graeme swann "We've come up against a resurgent Australian team - or a resurgent Johnson, more to the point - and we've not been able to cope."

which i'd tend to agree with, johnson has single handedly tipped this series from england's favor to way in our favor, i don't think the rest of our team (bar warner?) has really improved at all from a couple months ago which may be worth considering going forward, obviously performing a bit better on the back of johnson with improved confidence and belief we can win now... but this series would have already been completely different without him in it

Nige

Johnson's really been a massive point of difference.

I guess we'll never know if having somebody like Cummins, Bird or Faulkner would have had the same impact.

I dunno... Clarke has smashed a lot of runs. And so has Haddin. Warner, Bailey and Rogers have all got some decent scores too. SO not really just Johnson at all. Dont get me wrong, he is a big part of it. Still have to put runs on the board and our batsmen are doing a good job of it. Minus Watson of course.... Who has been a bit more of a let down, and isnt scoring like he should be.

I think Haddin has flown under the radar this test, In the first test he came in at 5/100 and if he had of been in Priors form who knows what we would of scored, could of been a completely different game in Brisbane. 2nd test, he came in at 5/257 and put on 200 runs with Clark and took us to a total of 570, just goes to show the difference an in form keeper makes.

The main differences is winning these battles

Johnson > Anderson (not many would have picked it at the start of the series but it makes a huge difference)
Haddin > Prior (mentioned above)
Clarke > Cook (Clarke has been awesome, seems to make runs when we need him to. Cook has been struggling big time)
Warner > Carberry (Warner hurts the opposition with his explosive hitting whereas Carberry's mindset is surviving which won't play with the bowlers minds)

Other than these 4 match ups the teams are fairly even IMO
