sorry for england fans, but i don't think ringing in a few more changes (ie bresnan/ballance in) is going to change anything at all lol...

what england should do is put cook at 3 or 4... don't know why you'd have your best batsman (yes i rate him over pietersen/bell) as an opener when he always has to face the brand new ball ... which means he's always exposed to the hardest time to bat ... if he batted a little down the order guaranteed his average would be over 50 and he would get more shots at big innings

dunno why everyone is so keen to jump ship on prior ... granted he's having an absolute mare at the moment ... but this is a guy who has been pure class for pretty much all of his career bar the last 6 months ... surely england will not be so short sighted and dump him when doubtless he'll come back into form sooner than later and start pumping out lower order runs again...

dunno if any here realises or remembers this, but most ppl were calling for cooks head when he was having a tough run back 4 or 5 odd years, but they kept the faith and after he scored a just about career saving ton against pakistan look where he's got to now

Mailman the 2nd

They won't get rid of Prior, they'll probably just take out Panesar for Perth and put in another seamer

Why don't the Barmy Army sing this song?

We got smashed up by the Mo
Proves we're just talk with no go

We can't bowl and we can't bat
Stuart Broad is such a twat

If we could learn how to catch,
The Test might just go half a match

Clarke went out and made a ton
That was when we knew we're done

If MJ bowls another pill
We will lose the Ashes 5-0

Not sure what's better, the song or the DP...

He's on track to break the record for the most wickets in a series! Not that he will, don't think anyone will ever top Barnes' 49.

Barnes was a freak, his statistics are like way off the charts haha.
The only player to even get forty this century is Warne, who got 40 exactly.

Sounds like an absolute beast, averaged 3.5 wickets per innings! Only played 27 tests because apparently he preferred playing county cricket where he took 1432 wickets with a strike rate of less than 9,  8)
