Belly batted really well, just ran out of partners.

Credit to Monty for hanging around for so long.
Does Mitchy Johnson get any credit from the great Nigel Saldanha? ;)
Since he deprived Ian Bell of a century by bowling out all his batting partners... no.  :P

Nah, I kid. Credit where credit is due, England just have/had no answers to his pace.

don't really see the logic in not enforcing the follow on.

Worst case scenario Australia would be chasing under 100 runs....

I legit can't find a single reason as to why you wouldn't make them bat again straight away...

Just giving the bowlers a bit of a rest so they don't have to bowl all day.

2 down already though...

Because getting England in tonight and all out tomorrow so that there's no day 5 and the bowlers can have an extra day of rest isn't better?

Harris and Siddle only bowled 14 overs though and with tea, drinks breaks etc. its hardly maximum level of stress.

I doubt it'll have any overall effect on the match anyway, as i don't think england can make 400 but Australia right now isn't really shutting out any hope

They couldn't even make 200, they've no hope of 400.

Don't get me wrong, I love Pup as a batsman.

But as a man/captain, I can't stand him.

Bill Manspeaker

how can you hate him as a man when you don't know him personally?

Watson annoys the shower out of me ::)

Well if you like it or not, Clarke is one of the best on-field captains in the world. And I'm gonna back him in here, score some quick runs, let the bowlers rest and have a huge crack at England's fragile batting later on.

I can't really, but I kinda just do. I don't like him, but I don't dislike him... if that makes sense.  :P

Never said hate though, that's strong and mean.  :)

How can you hate Hitler if you didn't know him personally?

Flimsy logic, judgements should be based on the actions of the person when they're designed as role-models.

"can't stand" is a fairly strong term mate :)

There have been many questions about Clarke's off-field leadership but on the field he is the best player in the world and a tactical mastermind. I think he is the best Aussie captain in terms of his on-field decisions since Mark Taylor. And if he wants to decline the follow-on, I'll back him in there.

What Ian Chappell just said was very, very good.
