I can't really say there's one thing in particular if I'm to be honest, I really just have never been a fan of the guy. I really do prefer nearly every other spinner we have playing domestic cricket haha.

One of the things I do like about Swanny is the fact that he is good and knows it (hence the arrogance/cockiness) and he plays it up for a laugh (although most people, mainly opposition and their supporters, don't like it).

Yeah he bowled very well and getting 4 for 63 from 29 overs is bloody awesome, Lyon said before the test that the Gabba was his first pitch to bowl on and he has the stats to back it up i just think that the only reason Lyon is playing test cricket is because we don't have another spinner capable of stepping up to the big stage yet. Lyon is the best spinner we have because we don't have many to choose from.

The only other player contracted by cricket australia is Doherty and he can not play tests for shower. We don't have anyone else so we just play Lyon in wait of someone else to come along.

A left arm very fast bowler (occasional in swing)
A right arm fast genuine wicket taker (occasional out swing)
A right arm fast seam bowler (very consistent)
A right arm off spin bowler
A right arm medium pacer
A right arm leg spinner
A left arm off spin bowler (Clarkey - barely bowls)


Doubt many teams can match that in the history of the game without compromising their batting. That would be a serious weapon, pretty much got all types if bowling covered, right handed and left. Probably missing a genuine swing bowler (Anderson, Hilfenhaus, Stein)
