Pat Cummins - the batsman?
Could he be like Watson? (An allrounder who gets injured when he bowls)
Seeing as he only gets into the seconds at his club as a sole batsman, I wouldn't expect him to be making any huge runs anytime soon.

Ballance and Stokes batting together now, Ballance does not give a flower about scoring lol, scoring so slowly. :P

surely whoever scores the most will be straight into the team for the 2nd test.

Ballance looking likely to be that person. batting at 3 aswell

edit; batting at 3 for the tour game I mean :P probably go to 6 if he plays the 2nd test

Yeah I think with Bairstow at 7 for this game I can't see him getting a shot. The selection will also depend on the performances of Panesar, Finn and Rankin (And Stokes), because if England play two spinners, Stokes would be a better fit as he bowls some seam (Trott is the usual parttime seamer ofc). However if they play 3 seamers, I'd play Ballance as Root can be the 2nd spinner.
