a great way to start the series. pure domination.

we're only one test in though, definitely can't get ahead of ourselves. need to bring this same intensity to Adelaide. keep the foot on the pedal. be ruthless. come on Aussie come on

PowerBug

Ballance must play the 2nd test if England want to win this series. Also Bresnan may be ready to go, and there's talk that two spinners might be used on the Adelaide pitches aswell, so no need for the 3rd seamer. :)

To true mate, we need to keep a lid on it, but this is sweet.

I think he biggest question is... Will Mitch keep the mo?  8)

No changes for the 12 for second test but allowance made to add a player if conditions suit.

Cricket Australia ‏@CricketAus

.@darren_lehmann announces the same 12 will be selected for the second @CommBank #Ashes Test, with a player to be added if conditions suit.

Great win by Australia and great to see the criticism back on the Poms.

Dudge and I were asking the same thing today, when he's good he's real good but when he's bad he's shocking, needs to find some consistency.

Mailman the 2nd

England as a team rely almost entirely on the bowling trio (Swann Anderson Broad) and Batting duo (Cook Bell)

Australia did well in nullifying almost all those 5 (except Broad) and if they can do it twice more the ashes is in the bag.

Brisbane is very much a batting pitch, which showed the flaws of their team pretty badly, but I reckon that the next 4 matches will be much closer

Floweeeer yeah! Well done boys, very deserving win.

What a game from Johnson and not to mention Brad Haddin!

Also couldn't have done it without Warner and Clarke! What about super sub Sabburg!

Bring it on.

Awesome game by the boys. Let's see if we can repeat it next match 8) I don't want to see any changes , was a pretty good test by everyone.

Then you will be happy to hear that the Aussies are going in with the same 12 to Adelaide, yes that included fielding gun Sabburg :D ;)

I love Mitchy Johnson :-*
Gotta love him, sledging after every bowl is gold.  :)!

So that's what it was all about. Things were getting very heated at the end of the match. Aussie players gloating as if they'd won the series already. Oh the shock they are going to get if England level the series.
