proves that both nations only care about the Ashes
Well it is the pinnacle of world cricket.
LOL NO

I love the way you argue every point with people then use no stats/facts to back it up. You really add to the forum, well done.

Well Australia and England are not numbers 1 and 2 in the world at the moment, so their pinnacle is the Ashes right now.

No, the pinnacle is when ever any of the heavyweights in Test cricket play each other

Lighten up big fella :)

Mailman the 2nd

I'd hardly call any match with India in it a pinnacle considering they got completely obliterated by New Zealand.....

think the reason that Flower and Arthur were forced out after Ashes losses is due to the importance of the series. A 5-0 loss to Australia is much MUCH worse than (e.g.) a 5-0 loss to India. Flower was actually a very successful coach, but the Ashes is like no other series. The whole nation is buoyed by a series win; and demoralised by a loss. The Ashes urn holds more significance than any other series trophy (e.g. Border-Gavaskar) and if you go down without a fight then everybody is scrutinised. Just my personal opinion

How did their 2 test match series go?

You also can't book a test series 12 months in advance or more and still assume those 2 teams are ranked 1 and 2.

Pinnacle of the summer was definitely the Ashes. South Africa vs Aus, should be a very good series. I expect the bowling attacks to decide the series. Much like the Ashes.

This test series is 1 vs 3. On pitches that favor both.

India away against anyone is boring.

Rene Farrell just picked up 4/15 off 3 overs in the Women's T20 International.

The English made 8/101, The Southern Stars should do it easy.

It's on GEM for those who care/are interested.

The Pinnacle of world cricket is obvious....
