You think Heatherly will be upgraded Mr C?
If so will he be fantasy relavant and for how long in your opinion?

Not sure which way we will go but I can tell you not to pick him in your fantasy team/s. His career consists of 9 TAC games, 2 NAB games and a practice match. His DT scores in the TAC last year were 49, 56 and 92. I think his average in the AFL would be high 40's max at this point.

He'll hopefully become quite a good player but I'd be surprised if he ever became fantasy relevant.

I don't think Lewis will be relevant given he is mid only and no one should be touching Burgoyne. However you can throw Shiels and Langford on that pile. I'd imagine Anderson will rise in value by at least 100k over the course of the season but people may not be in a position to take advantage of it.

Lewis still worth a punt in draft leagues?

I meant more that so many players average so solidly, not that'd I'd pick many of them, :)

I think it's the nature of the Hawthorn game plan with many players moving through the midfield while forwards like Roughy and Gunston travel all the way up to half back for disposals. Not to mention the measured, short kicking style of play and sharing around the goals.

Ah fair enough, that probably explains it then. Cheers MC.

Do you reckon Birchall, Suckers, Hodge and Mitchell can go 90+

I'd think the order goes:

Mitchell
Birchall/Hodge
Hodge/Birchall
Suckers

With Stratton and Sewell out I think we look like this in round 1:

FB: Duryea, Gibson, Burgoyne
HB: Suckling, Heatherley, Birchall
C: Smith, Mitchell, Hill
HF: Shiels, Roughead, Breust
FF: Puopolo, Hale, Gunston
R: McEvoy, Hodge, Lewis
I: Langford, Simpkin, Hallahan, Litherland

Cheney, Wanganeen and TOB being next cabs off the rank (Woodward to BH for at least half a season).

Will be hard to bring back all of Stratton, Sewell, Rioli, Lake, Anderson, Whitecross and Schoenmakers if they all become fit :-X

kilbluff1985

you think Hallahan will keep his spot?

Tbh, no.

Lake and Stratton will directly replace Heatherley and Litherland. Rioli will come in which will leave Duryea, Langford, Hallahan, Sewell, Simpkin and later in the season Anderson and Whitecross fighting for 3 spots.

kilbluff1985

good chance he will request a trade if not given enough games been in the system long enough
