What I dont like is we are going to get nothing for him.

I cant believe I was actually thinking about Lamb last night. Was surprised with all the rumors floating round no Victorian clubs were not interested....

I was thinking about Lamb last night too, but I had to settle for chicken instead.  :(

LOL... that same joke popped into my head as I typed that line!!  ;D

That's a true story haha. :P

If Lamb does go, which looks a done deal I can only think the Swans know what they are doing?

Our record of playing guys early has generally been right. Recently guys like Hanners, Parker, Rohan, Jetta, Reid, Smith, Johnson, Rampe, Mitchell. These guys have all pretty much come right into the team without playing an overly long time in the 2nds, if at all. They all look to be stars or future stars.

Guys like Vezspremi, Johnston(Lewis), Heath, Lamb, Spangher, Trent Dennis-lane, Cunningham, Armstrong etc who cant get a game and spend long stints in reserve level, when they leave, arent exactly setting the world on fire.

You have to go back to Schneider and Dempster IMO for guys that we traded out who have done as well as could be expected at the new club. (Jolly dont count we allowed him to leave)

Unlucky for Sydney.

But TIM MEMBREY :D

I doubt it.

Not going anywhere just now. I like the way he knows that the things he needs to improve are his defensive side of the game, when they said he goal kicking was a positive for the season he said.

"They (The Club) would be happy that I'm kicking goals, but they'll be more happy to see me lay tackles and chase and really put pressure on, so I guess that's going to be a big focus for me going forward"

Sydney as you said SR have been pretty good at letting guys go (Dempster would be good now though :( )

i think Lamb going was probably inevitable over the next 3 years if we wanted to keep guys like Mitchell and Parker along side the main group (Jack etc.)

i would not put Lamb in the same category as Vezspremi, Heath, Dennis-Lane, etc ...   :(

i think the kid just wanted more opportunity of a regular game, but he was just about there for the league team I would've thought - Buddy deal and Mitchell/Parker issues probably influencing this ...

just hope it doesn't hurt our depth, cos that's when things can go pear-shaped ...  :-X    ;)

Yeah J. I dont get it 100%.

Compared to the others guys I mentioned Lamb is better. He played 12games this year and surely would have played that many or more in 2014.

Not sure why you would want to leave?

i think more opportunity as he may have seen himself on the fringes for at least another 2 seasons ... Jetta was down and Rohan took a while to come back from injury, so still on the fringe ...

Mailman the 2nd

And with another draft coming up with pick 15 etc Sydney could pick up others to potentially push him out.

GWS probably have said he's guaranteed 15+ games. This year he could only manage 12 despite Morton, Jetta, Rohan and various other injuries.

I think if he plays with us next year there's no way he'll have over 10 games :/

SydneyRox

A trade will be interesting. Just checked the GWS trades available.

1, 2, 21, 22 then goes to 75, 76

22 would be good, but surely overs.

A swap 21/22 for 35??

Armstrong/Everett and Lamb for 21?

Ziplock

just take what you can get :P

Nige

Well, they may be getting 48 or something from Essendon... so they could use that.

Mailman the 2nd

I heard Everitt had attracted interest from GWS

I'd say say Lamb + 35 for 22 is fine, I'd be happy with that if he's leaving

Although as Nigey said they're getting 48 from Essendon, so probably it'll be Lamb for 48

Nige

The Edwards/Aylett for 48 is a done deal.

If this is the best we can do!??  :(

I think we may have an issue with the GWS interest on Everett now they have Lamb.
