I ask one question, how were the crowds in Western Sydney? Worse than any other AFL club in history?

Maybe they could have traded for players that made they more competitive? Hence a bigger crowd?

Those mini draft picks were used to take players like crouch, omeara, who have already demonstrated what freaks they are.

Martin's supposed to be even better.

Hogan's more of a punt as a KPF, but he still should be great.


point is, those picks were gold and amazing. GWS  tried to use those picks to secure good players... but nobody would trade for anyone decent, and they weren't going to trade them for hacks.

so they traded them for high picks instead, picks that weren't as high as the mini draft picks (which are in essence pick 1 and 2).

Michie's only a year older than the 2011 draft players/ u17 selection players, which comprise the majority of our team, and most of them are physically as developed as him.

but they have significantly more afl experience.


melbourne got michie, a player who's played 1 game at AFL level.

GWS got shaw and mumford...

tbag you are the first person I have ever heard with this argument... I mean what is there to complain about.

Nobody expected to GWS to get crowds - they are based in an area where AFL is the third sport behind Soccer and then Rugby. GWS average around 15k crowds per game, which is a win in my eyes and when they hit their prime they will pull some more, along with being more established in Sydney.

The lowest crowd in AFL history since 1997 is GWS against... guess who... Adelaide!  ;D
