Just can't help it, the X factor and new cult hero for the Australian cricket team

When he does what he does, wow he is great, how can we not love the man?

He is the spirit of the team? :o

Move over Tex Not really but, I love you Glen!

Did he just do something great? I just turned it off,  :-\

*Glenn  :P

But yeah, he's a gun, been saying that for ages.  :P

Torpedo10

You may love him, but you spelt his name wrong.  ;)

Really dislike him to be honest lol. Just strikes me as an arrogant flat track bully. How he ever made the test team is beyond me, and his batting performances there in India showed his true nature I believe. I guess he's ok in short form especially t20s but from how I see it his bowling is mediocre, and his batting is very hit and miss, and although he's good to come in at number 6 or whatever and smash it when the team's on top in a game, far too often he fails when the pressure is on.

I much prefer the likes of war horses Siddle, McKay and Harris who perform strongly and battle even when the team isn't going well, takes a lot more skill to do that imo.

I guess I can see the attraction in him, I'm a cricket purest though and the best form of cricket will always easily be tests.

Test cricket the best, one day cricket can be just as good, every time I saw a Test Series go, a ODI series came, sometimes it was mixed

Nothing wrong with one day cricket, not the same as test but, still awesome, Glenn Maxwell won't play Test cricket but, he is the heart of the new Limited overs team

BB67th

Yeah I definitely think that Maxwell will become a very good limited overs player. Shouldn't play tests and should never have gotten into the team, but you need specialists for different teams, and Maxwell is good for ODIs and T20s.

I think he's reasonable at the short form games doesn't mean I have to like him though lol. I will be appalled if he ever plays another test  :P

Cicjose

43.3
Maxwell to RG Sharma, FOUR

43.2
Maxwell to RG Sharma, SIX, well, what can i say! It's a low full toss and it's smashed with the ease of driving a bicycle on an airstrip.. i don't know what to say really.. this is over the cow corner
paul mac: "A bowling machine would have taken more wickets today."

43.1
Maxwell to RG Sharma, FOUR, where are the fielders! this was a mere push through cover and there is no one in the deep, four more.. This is wrong, so wrong

Great bowling!

Great bowling!

Pretty hard for a bowler when the pitch is a road, the outfield is about the quickest in world cricket and they're not the biggest of boundaries.

Nige

He's a batsman first, a bowler second.

A bit like Michael Clarke... but better.  ;)

Another cracking 92 from my boy, some real ODI specialists coming along nicely now, good side heading forward here, pity guys like Khawaja aren't getting a go, Cutting and Smith the others I want in the side!
