Ringo (and other Lion's fans), do you feel this board drama led to or contributed to all the young players wanting to move clubs/back home??

it just seems with the kids nominating where they all wanted to go, that the club is/has been screwed by the other clubs and not getting anything close to 'fair-value' in proposed trades ...   :-\

That may have been a factor mate but we were always going to lose Karnezis and Polec so we were after the best deal.  The club going ons and the sacking of Voss may have been a factor in Yeo, Docherty and Longer opting to go home. With this being the case we need to accept the best possible deal for them even if it means a discount

i people get 'home-sick' sometimes but is there some other underlying reason such a number of the young kids want to leave at the same time?? i just can't see it from the media reports ... not making a lot of sense ...

Strikes has hit the nail on the head as these guys apart from Longer and one of Yeo or Docherty woulld not make team next year.  Some high draft picks rightly or wrongly believe they should be palying Senior football with in 2 years and this is not always the case.  Not having close family support around to talk with and discuss situation only fuels the go home factor in Qld.

like WCE and Freo had issues in the past ... eg Judd (though main pull there was the cashola), Jeff White, etc

i saw afl.com.au reports indicating the club is going to look at the young player supports esp for the inter-staters ...

yeah, most of the ones who wanted to go home might've thought/think they're better than where they're actually at ...

Sydney just lots Jed Lamb who probably wanted more opportunity but I think he was on the cusp of more regular league games this coming season ... others have touted contact/money issues with the Buddy-trade a factor also ...
