#34 Liam McBean - Richmond Tigers

Info
D.O.B: August 25, 1994
Age: 19
Games: 0
Starting 2013 Price: $109,500
Finishing 2013 Price: N/A
Position: Forward/Ruck

Nige says: Liam McBean is a lightly framed 202cm ruckman and key position forward. He's a exciting prospect who could share or even take over the load from Ivan Maric in future. McBean, Richmond's 2nd pick (33) in the 2012 AFL National Draft played a lot up forward and kick 37 goals from 14 games for Coburg in the VFL. It was also said that McBean may have possibly played the last few games for the season in the senior for Richmond if he didn't injure his ankle which prematurely cut his season short. He was a popular pick this year in the sense that many used his F/R status to swing the likes of Dean Cox from their forwards to their rucks or orchestrate trades. In 2014, McBean could very well play games for the Tigers as they look not only find their next ruckman, but also kick goals (in more ways than one! ;)). If McBean gets selected for Richmond, you should definitely consider giving him a spot in your side as he didn't play a game this year thus leaving his price as is. His DPP, should he keep it, is just an added bonus. He's bound to make you cash, and there are probably other green vest candidates, although there may be a chance of him getting subbed, keeping in mind that he probably still needs to develop a bit more although he already has a lot quicker than most expected.

Predicted 2014 Average: 45-55

Think he will be in a lot teams next year , very agile and skilled for a tall man just needs to hit the weights and bulk up a bit just about a given for my bench next year

lol you couldnt find a better pic than him sprawled out over his bed? haha

Well, I could have, but I like the somewhat interesting/entertaining pics. ;D Ones of the players in action are too common, gotta change things up a bit.  8)

Probably will be my r4 whenever he is named

Hope he has hit the gym hard since that picture, he makes me look like a tank.

Ricochet

His dpp status could be very handy again next year. A nice and cheap R4 once again

oooops, how about F.7  rather than 4  ??    :)
Could become an F.4  in a couple of years all going well with the Tiges, but definitely F.7  for now.

roti

Might lose his DPP, played at full forward the whole year not a minute in the ruck, played very well at FF I might add

Hampson coming over may have cost him a round 1 spot

My Chumps

Why would Richmond get Hampson when they've got this kid in the wings waiting?  :-X

*Stealing that photo for TX by the way Nigel :P

could be handy,my rucks could look like this for 2014,sandi(should be a steal),mcintosh(rookie priced?),naismith(no mummy & pyke may go backwards a bit),mcbean, with a cheaper nicnat?in forward line for cover, currie of kangas has to get a run also so could look at the 4 rucks with nicnat & mcbean(f8) on forward line.If sandi or hmac go down switch nicnat in & trade in a forward, also 4 rookie rucks a realistic possibility this year if this guy or someone else steps up,bcoz hmac naismith & currie should all be right to go this season

Just saying, but Naismith most likely won't play next year. Pyke as R1, with Tippett, LRT, and even Goodes being able to pinch hit. Unless Pyke gets a LTI, Naismith won't see many games...

dont know he was hyped up pretty good early last season, cant see them using lrt or goodes as a cannon fodder 2nd ruck,as for tippett its possible but would be a change of tactic from how the crows & swans so far have used him,i can see this guy being a solid 2nd ruck & if pyke drops off a bit he could be a real bargain
