Congrats to Pendles. Won it pretty easily in the end

Interesting to see Maxwell not polling more than 60 votes to miss out on the top 10

Yeah no surprise Pendles won it. Also no surprise Martin won the VFL best and fairest. Should definitely get more game time next season!

If Taylor Adams gets to Collingwood, the queue for a game in the Pies midfield is gonna be massive.  :-X

Isn't he meant to be announcing today where he wants to go? I reckon he will choose Geelong.

I believe so. Was a Falcons boy, would be a great pick up by the Cats.

Caddy first, then Adams. They're good at this.

Why do you believe Geelong? I'm quietly confident we'll land him at Collingwood. Was very impressed upon first looks at our club, was a pies fan growing up, and GWS don't want Geelong's bargaining chip, but would much rather Heater.

It's not just Adams who needs to get something out of this, but also GWS. If he goes to Geelong, ill be devo.

I'm not saying it's a given that he'll go to Geelong, I just feel that being from there that could be a destination. That said, the recent news of Heater being likely to go to the Giants means that the Pies probably are in the box seat.

Just get em all Pies....use these compromised drafts to backfill for when needed 2 years down the track  :)

Love your thinking T Dog, hahah, Bucks knows what's up. Lets recruit everybody, we'll fit them in our cap!

On what you said earlier Nige about Adams joining the queue.. Sorry can't quote right now, for some reason.

Bucks has already been pretty prominent in rotating our Mids through the forward line (Swan, Pendles, Beams, Sidey) and what not.
Would not surprise me if Swan plays more time deep forward as he's very good one on one, and he looks to further our younger onball division.

Grundy, Pendles, Swan, Beams, Ball, and Adams should be our immediate on ball division with blokes like Young, Sidebottom, O'Brien, Blair, Seedsman and what not playing on a wing/half forward flank/half back flank next year. I must say our midfield depth is quite large, but yet we're not very good at utilising it, as we're very much one way runners. Pendles is the only one I really see bust his ass hard defensively and you know he's spent at the end of each and every game. Not saying others don't, but he's very good at giving it his absolute everything. I admire it in him, and I think more need to take it out of his book, the hard defensive running,  being accountable, and standing side by side.

Bright future for our club.

Nige

If that's the case, you'll still have guys like Josh Thomas, Sam Dwyer, Kyle Martin... all immense talent, that would be in nearly every other team's 22, missing out.

That's pretty much what I was talking about when I said queue.

_wato

Don't think Dwyer is in our best 22, but if so, he'd be better off on a HFF.

Thomas is a very good player and we could fit him in wherever, same goes with Martin.

Remember there are 4 bench spots too Nigey, but yes your point is extremely valid.

_wato

This is what I believe is our best line up at the moment if we recruit everyone who we're rumoured to get.

B: Toovey, Brown, Keefe
HB: Henderson, Reid, O'Brien
C: Young, Ball, Sidebottom
HF: Beams, White, Blair
F: Elliot, Cloke, Goldsack
R: Grundy, Pendlebury, Swan

Int: Seedsman, J.Thomas, Macaffer, Maxwell
Emg: Fasolo, Adams, Williams, Martin

Basic fact is you hardly ever can put your best team up. So I'm fairly certain those 4 blokes as emergency will get a very good run throughout the year. There time will come when the older blokes like Ball and Swan move on in 3-4 years.

well done to pendles. Outside of Richmond he is just about my favourite player to watch apart from Gaz
