Run The Jewels with only one entry with the best hip-hop release of the year? SMH.
Not sure if I'm a next level hipster or if Triple J is gradually being saturated with a younger and younger audience.
Yeah I think it might be the former.
Shet.
Definitely the former fev haha.

But honestly I'm pretty pumped that Faker won it rather than Peking Duk.

Was pretty impressed with the inclusion of clipping. - work work. Was not expecting that!

Sage Francis
Run the Jewels
Cunninlynguists
Black Milk
Freddie Gibbs + Madlib
Amerigo Gazaway
PRhyme
The War on Drugs

Best year ever!
Not sure if you're taking the piss but 5 out of those 8 albums are some of my favs of the year.

Piñata, RTJ2, If There's a Hell Below, Lost in the Dream, and PRhyme's self titled.

while I'm here, other favs:
RATKING - So it Goes
Flying Lotus - You're Dead!
Mac Demarco - Salad Days
FKA Twigs - LP1
D'Angelo - Black Messiah
Julian Casblancas + the Voidz - Tyranny

Nige

Yep, I reckon you're a next level hipster Alex.  :P

So I checked out FKA Twigs, wasn't such a fan.

Discovered plenty of new artists (or ones I've heard of or only heard like one song) that I quite like today such as: One Day, DZ Deathrays, Run The Jewels, The Smith Street Band, Flight Facilities, Jamie T, Carmada and Courtney Barnett.

My Chumps

DZ Deathrays are dope and Jamie T's first two albums are pretty swell.

Mailman the 2nd

I actually didn't mind this years countdown.

The top 10 was saturated with some trashy pop songs (other than Chet) but otherwise it was pretty decent.

Yeah but you gotta remember that RTJ was only formed in 2013 and Close Your Eyes was the only song that got any decent airplay.

Add on to that the fact they're American and voters are always gonna pick the Hilltop Hoods over them

Kellogscrunchynut

Blew my mind when I found out that Childish Bambino was Troy from Community.

Alex Turner - Feels like we Only go Backwards (LAV)
Run the Jewels - Close your eyes and count to F**k
Lana Del Ray - West Coast
Kite String Tangle - Arcadia
Kim Churchill - Window to the Sky
Jungle - Busy Earnin'
Interpol - All the rage Back Home
Chet Faker - Talk Is Cheap
Broods - Never Gonna Change
Broken Bells - After the Disco

Well 6 from what I voted got in.

That said the songs I really liked saturated 12-32 spots.

Yeah I'll come on in a second.
Pretty cut that St Vincent and Flying Lotus got 0 entries, I thought that St Vincents release charted pretty well over here?
FKA Twigs is awesome Nige but fairly abrasive, I'd keep trying.
Meow a world with RTJ and The War On Drugs is a world worth living in. ;)

Fairly surprised 'Never Catch Me' missed out, especially considering out well received Kendrick's 'i' was. but it is pretty abrasive i guess.

Everything Flight Facilities does is amazing! Seriously, they're so good (and good live too). Please listen to all their stuff! You won't regret it.

Sunshine is my favourite track so far, and the fact is features Reggie Watts makes it 213791273 times better.  8)

Reaaally digging Jamie T as well now.
