13th apparently. Not sure if missing games was too much of an issue, he still managed 25 brownlow votes
Mustn't be doing to team things  ???

Ziplock

well, that's a tight top 10.

for instance, selwood played 22 games, so he averaged 14.6 votes per game. Assuming stevie J performed well enough to win it, had he played 22, let's say, 15 votes per game, he would have polled 240

so, yeah, no way he was goign to make a top 10 that close, unless he destroyed the polling.

The only reason he finished 13th is because he missed a lot of games. I'm not sure how the voting goes with the Cats, but at Richmond they rate each player's game out of 25 and if you miss a game it's hard to catch up.

Nige

That's a really close top 10... Wow.  :o

Christensen only played 2 more games than SJ and would have thought SJ had a much better year

if it's out of 25, those 2 games equate to 50 votes SJ couldn't have gotten, or, if he was going at about 15 votes per game, 30 votes

so, somewhere between 260 and 240 votes still puts him clearly out of the top 10 :P

Except I only count 3 or 4 games where Christensen "could" have got best on ground or even top 3 in votes.

those 4 games might have been 25 votes straight up :P

out of curiosity, how many of geelongs games  did you see? (personally, I only caught a handful), but votes may have been allocated to christensen if he successfully played the role he was given, which mightn't have necessarily been a high goal scoring/ possession getting one.

Yep I understand that but I find it strange that SJ can get 4th in the Browlow with 25 votes but 13th his club fairest and best unless he wasn't doing the team things

It happens, because clubs give votes for different reasons. Danger came third in the Crows B&F, but got 22 votes in the Brownlow, whereas Sloane who won the B&F only got 15, and Douglas who came second only got the 3 votes!

Then for Brisbane Joel Patfull won the B&F but only got 1 votes in the Brownlow, whereas Rockliff came 4, but got 21 votes in the Brownlow.

Jackson won the B&F for Richmond but only got 9 votes in the Brownlow behind Cotchin, Martin and Deledio.

I figure that's enough examples ;)

Again, I understand that B&F votes are given for team reasons and specific roles/jobs :)

My point is that SJ didn't get 3rd or 4th or 5th in his B&F (like the examples of Danger, Rocky, Cotchin or other guns)... he got 13th. Despite a top 4 finish in the Brownlow
