EXCLUSIVE: Collingwood's iconic star Dale Thomas will announce his intention to join Carlton as a free agent, with the Blues set to secure him on a four-year deal worth close to $700,000 a season.

The Pies are likely to receive pick No.11 in the national draft as compensation for Thomas, who has been afflicted with ankle injuries over the past two seasons.

Not happy with the price we have to pay for Daisy, but if you look at it this way it's not that bad. 100k-200k for an upgrade of Betts to Thomas is pretty good...

$700k for Daisy does seem like overs... unless his ankle holds up you could spend as much time paying him on the sidelines as us and Buddy!

Yeah 700k is overs, 600k would have seemed reasonable considering he is injury prone.
